Alex said that he didn't realise he had to pick people like last week. He's admitted that he hadn't got the rules straight in his head and that when he read them (afterwards) it was perfectly clear. *sigh*

If Alex was fair he would have chosen PJ first then Kate, he would still then have had a chance to choose Adele. It is Alex who has always had a grudge against Kate, ever since the first week. She has tried several times to make up with him and he has shown nothing but contempt in return.

If he didnt' want to pick again so much, he should have made sure he didn't win ! He had enough chances to ensure he wasn't the winner.

Not quite .. its also about spending time with people who you 'get on with' .. and Kate has never taken to Alex from day one; not to mention the comments both her and Spencer used to aim his way. I always remember the time when someone shouted some remark over the wall and *NO ONE* in the house was going to inform Alex [who was inside at the time] what it was.. but sure enough Kate brought it up infront of everyone as soon as Alex came into view.. she did this out of 'sheer spite' ... he knows this full well.

Alex did not cheat it was Tim who was trying to get Alex into trouble by whispering about who was going to win. Alex was sensible and told him they were not allowed to talk like that.
I dont trust that Tim I think he was trying to really get Alex into trouble.

Did I miss the rule where all the contestants have to like each other in this competition?

My first post so I'll admit my point's not going to be valid......The way I see it is people will moan if he picks Jade and moan if he picks Kate. It's a no win situation.........

I don't think your point is invalid at all - in fact I think you're spot on! I haven't been contributing to this stuff at all for exactly that reason.

I agree with oakley, I think you're spot on. There would have been no way for him to please all of the people tonight.

Nope... the way i saw it, Alex was lipping something and the new guy was like "what?!" trying to understand what he was saying. Then the new guy got abit louder.

It was a good result, but I gotta be honest - all of Alex's protestations that he didn't understand came over to me as totally fake, and he made it worse by exagerating his upset imho. I dunno what he is trying to do. I could almost see the smirk on his face even whilst he was whining out loudly. If that is 'sly' then I don't normally agree with Lee, but maybe he has a point. I really did see a sly side of Alex tonight and I'm disappointed.... a bit like a sly school kid.

Jade has been more of b**ch to him this past week, but he still chose her

Alex could have chose Jade for Adele.

We all know how much Adele likes Jade and then how much Alex likes Adele.

He probably chose Jade to make Adele feel like she had a friend on the rich side. (apart from Alex)

Tim was hinting at a deal which would mean that no-matter who won or lost the final round the winner would pick the loser so they both go on the rich side (I.e. if Alex wins, he picks Tim. If Tim wins, he picks Alex). I think Alex was a bit confused and didn't really know what Tim was hinting at and was just going along with it. I doubt he was pretending, but you never know......

I think that Alex said to Tim 'i want you to win it' Tim said 'what' ..alex repeated it again...tim then finally got what he said and said something about winning. Alex then got a bit embarassed because tim had said it loudly. Alex then said 'we arn't allowed to talk about that' and the subject was forgotten. I could be completely wrong but who cares.

Alex is a good guy. I wish people would stop nagging at everything he does!! Who cares if he didn't pick Kate. I wouldnt pick someone i didn't really get on with.
To bad Jonny didn't pick Jade first thuogh, can't wait to see her leave!!

Lee Cool you are some thick s**t. It was obvious Tim was starting that chat, alex was saying 'were not allowed to talk about this'. Tim cheated, he kicked the chair out of the way when alex sat down, alex deserved to win. He made the right choices. he knew that if he picked tim, jonny would pick adele, and hes interested in adele so he picked her. with kate and jade, kate coped better in hte poor side, remember jade saying shell walk if shes in there another week? Lee Cool, just because you dislike alex, doesnt mean you should plant totally false thoughts in peoples minds. Its up to them what they think, stop trying to swing their opinions.

Well....IMO the stuff about alex not knowing the rules was codswallop!...they all joked a bit before the game started about who might be 'picked'..(sophie: "if anyone picks me for the poor side, your dead")he's just a VERY clever/stupid guy...look how fast he went to the diary room..this no doubt will show him bemoaning the fact that he was again 'forced to choose, and could he have headache tablets please'..C4 will no doubt show that on tonights edit...and as for the jade Kate thing, as I said in a different post, adele whispered to him to pick Jade, purely becasue it would have suited HER plan more....what do you all think?.......surely i wasn't the only one to overhear that?

i didn't think tim was trying to talk to alex about "who to pick" at all. i thought he was trying to make a decent point -- "alex, you picked last week, and got some people upset at you for making the choice... maybe you can let me win the game, and then i'll pick and you'll be saved from the ill will". that's what i thought he was trying to say.

Though why she would is beyond me.

I can't say I heard her mutter anything and neither did offspring, but sometimes the subtleties get lost in the tension!!!!

As to Alex, well, much as I like Alex, he was a bit "the lady doth protest too much" about it all. After about 10 minutes of his angst I just wanted him to shut up and get on with it.

Alex didn't discuss with Tim who to pick he said he didn't want to win that he wanted Tim to win but Tim said he didnt want to win it either.
I dont blame Alex not wanting to win again because of all the flack he got from the others last week.
Tim is just a a??hole and didnt want to look bad in the first week.
