My guess is that no matter what - Alex was to bring PJ into the rich side as he's spent a fortnight on the poor - longer than anyone. I guess that his second choice would have been Tim but Jonny made a tactical decision by picking Tim before Alex could.

If Alex's first/second choice would have been Adele - he would have picked her immediately but he stalled for several minutes. I think it was Alex's intention to bring Tim back into the rich side but he didn't get a chance.

By not picking Tim, he's given Tim a fair chance with the other HMs. Imagine the resentment if Tim stayed on the rich side! And why should he pick Kate - that would be 2-faced and obviously tactical. When has Kate been civil to him?

Alex haters can make all they wish to out of this, but the guys gone for a good selection at the end of the day..

The nominations are done in secret so how the hell would Alex know how many times Kate voted for him or vice versa. So your reasoning is flawed.

that is true, but we are arguing why he was right to not pick Kate. Alex cannot be blind to Kates feelings - he clearly found it a hard choice, but I bet he knew where his nominations were likely to come from next week, Kate now being top of the list as he has eliminated Jade and PJ probably. I should think Jade's extreme outburst was a good reason to KEEP her on the rich side. If she had been sent to the poor side imagine the blow up so we have caused in front of everyone. At least he knows Kate sulks away in a corner brooding.

That may be so, but Kate's made no secret of the fact that she vehemently dislikes Alex. He may seem a bit dim, but he's well aware of the fact that she doesn't like him.
