Jonny and Alex made GOOD CHOICES
Gavin-

I think they both made mostly excellent choices when picking people for their sides, especially Jonny, who was very fair. Let me explain:

Jonny's choices:

Jonny obviously chose the two people who had never experienced the poor side before, which was fair. He honestly couldn't have made any other choice. At least this way Sophie and Tim can't complain (or if they do, they'd show themselves to be whiny arseholes), because it is technically fair for them to experience the poor side. Though I must admit Jonny must have felt quite smug and justified, knowing both Sophie and Tim are posh elitist ***** who have been sat ther eon the rich side offering advice on how to psychologically cope on the poor side. Now they get to see if THEY can psychologically cope.

And I now utterly hate Tim, who went through the Musical Chairs with a look on his face that said "this is childish nonsense", tried to negotiate with Alex about which of them would let the other win, then bitched and moaned for ending up on the ppor side. Posh stupid baby.

Alex's choices:

You have to be fair to the guy, he was put in an unenviable position, and he was upset because he has been put in this position two weeks running. He showed himself to be noble and honourable by picking PJ -- he doesn't like PJ, but knew it was only fair for him to experience the rich side. His choice of Adele was obvious, the two of them are getting almost romantically close to each other -- and potential romance beats any "gentlemans agreement" he may have had with Tim. The choice of Jade over Kate wasn't really understandable. When it comes down to who he dislikes, I think he dislikes Jade and Kate equally, but perhaps he thought Kate could cope on the poor side better than Jade could. But this was his only bad decision -- he should care more about Jade's alcohol intake, and now Jade will be on the wine all week again.

Alex chose Jade because Kate has made absolutely no attempt to be friendly towards him. She doesn't have the intellectual ability to be nice to people.

I totally agree with you.

It's pissing me off reading all these shitty comments about how 'awful' 'nasty' 'cruel' Alex's choices were. For gods sake..him and kate don't get on that well so why should he of chosen Kate just to make himself look 'nice'?!

Complete agree with you. Why on earth would you pick someone who clearly doesnt like you and has and who you dont like.

The entertainment this week is going to be brill and the boys made great choices. Even though I cant stand Jonny!lol

Have to disagree... I know that Alex had said, during the week, that he would pick PJ if he won again this week, but...

There was obviously no way that Jonny would pick PJ or Kate for the poor side, so Alex could have a free choice of the 2 housemates he wanted and then pick PJ, thus:-

Alex ---- Adelle (his preferred housemate)
Jonny - Sophie (because she had had 2 weeks on the rich side)
Alex ---- Tim (because he is still new)
Jonny - Jade (to avoid picking Kate or PJ)
Alex ---- PJ (to stay true to his word)
leaving Kate to ponder her fate on the poor side.

That way, Alex would have protected Tim (as he clearly wanted to), and it would have been Jonny's "fault" that Jade ended up in the poor house. That said, I agree with Jonny's strategy. Not only do Tim and Sophie need a taste of the poor side, I think it will give both a better chance... Tim was spending too much time pursuing Alex, and Sophie was not fitting in with the other housemates on the rich side at all - witness the apalling bitching by Jade/Adelle in the bedroom the previous night.
