Betting Suspended?

I've been looking on all the main betting sites, and am unable to find a single bookies that is offering any odds whatsoever on anything involving BB!!

Is there something going on we should know about?

No.

If there was, there'd have been more than 2.2 million votes on an eviction, and there'd have been more than £100k turnover on Betfair (football in the same period turned over £30 million).

Betting scammers don't play that small.

Betfair has open markets.

It is now fairly common practise to suspend betting markets around the time of major BB events, such as nominations, evictions and tasks.

This is necessary for the bookies to avoid them facing situations like when Alison was nominated and for several minutes odds of up to 16-1 remained available for her eviction.

Even after hearing of Spencer's nomination, many bookies were offering of around 9-4 on him going. This enabled punters who had previously backed Alex at odds of 4-1 or more to cover their stakes and leave themselves in a win- win situation.

Expect much more miserly odds on evictions in coming weeks!

3 markets available at Ladbrokes currently and one at Surrey Sports

Paddypower, don't you just love them?!

It has also been extremely common practise to shut down markets overnight, in case there is an event that changes the odds dramatically.

All bookies are doing this as far as I can see, only betfair remains open.
