anti-kate feeling????

I don't understand all this anti-kate stuff in these forums

Sure, she isn't my fave person in the house but there are at least 2 other more dangerous people in there

Adele - she's as sly as .......a sly thing and she's gonna pick them off one by one. Easily the cleverest, and dangerous. 2 faced as well

Jade - she knows how to manipulate people, probably since a tot she's known how to get mummys attention. It's worked so far with the HM's. Alex fawns over her but she couldn't give a crap about him

Lay off Kate, she may be this and that but you lot can't see the wood for the trees

I think the greatest thing I have against Kate is the same as I have against PJ and that is they can both be summed up by the word 'disappointing'.

Kate's video was very lively and sugegsted we were going to get a good looking girl with lots of adventure in her, stories to tell, would interact well etc and I don't feel she has lived up to that. I've yet to hear her discuss anything more challenging than cosmetics and I think she behaves with a clique mentality which is one of my pet hates I'm afraid. Her greatest fear is putting on weight.... From her video I was expecting an altogether more mature and interesting girl so as I said - disappointed.

PJ is the same - a supposedly intelligent man - ha, that was soon dispelled, so once again the word disappointing springs to mind.

On the other hand Adele has turned out to have a far superior game play strategy than first impressions suggested which makes her a fascinating charcter whether or not you agree with her - personally I find her a strong and challenging personality - right up my street.

I think we all have to agree Jade has far surpassed mnay of our initial thoughts that she would be the bimbo of the house. The girls bordering on madness at some points, once again the behaviour can grate you to the bone but its bloody interesting viewing.

Alex, I am the first to admit after his video I was ready for a vacuous male model stereotype but his precise manner, cleanliness fixation and extreme sensitivity has given us all something we didn't expect!

Jonny is very much as his video suggested to me - a man approaching the thirty-something crisis point of his life clinging to his view of youth=fun and wanting a house that is an extended summer holiday, when this hasn't happened he's gone into shock.

Rennie's reply is excellent. My dislike of the Kates and PJs is that they came into the house with a tremendous sense of entitlement. They assume that they'll be loved and that it's unnecessary for them to do anything (and Kate's not "that" pretty that simply walking around is good enough).

Going back to the early fights, I think their hatred of Alex and Sandy is that, seemingly for the first time in their lives, they saw folks who have different sensibilities, and the Kates and PJs don't know how to handle social difference in any way other than "it's wicked" or "I hate it."

I suppose that I'd have more time for Kate if she said, ok I don't like Alex, so I'm going to focus on doing something positive elsewhere. Instead, all her energy seems devoted to percolating revenge.

Kate/PJ/Johnny are going to be hit with life's big "f**k-you" soon when they realize that they're not the sun itself (especially as they don't have any real talent).

What astonishes me is their warped sense of what life in the media world is like. They're perfect tv consumers, but not producers. What I mean is that they trash Alex for not being "manly" or blah blah blah.

Hello! Wake up and smell the coffee! Who do you think are the kinds of people who work in the media world - the Alexes! Do you think that media professionals really want to spend time with the Kates after they've trashed Alex that way?

People think that Graham Norton's support of Alex was some C4 fix. Not at all; he gets to choose who and what he supports, and he reads Alex v. Kate/Spencer accurately.

Kate's an idiot because she sits around saying how funny Brian Dowling is and then turns around and stabs Alex. The blindness of the smug.

1. From Kate's video *i* thought she was just a typical brainless girl: certainly the word "mature" didn't spring to mind when I watched it. "Fit" did. Then I was disappointed.

2. Jade: agree with you.

3. Johnny is -29-.(His birthday is the day after mine) What's this "crisis" you refer to. I'm 34, and I wasn't aware I was supposed to be having some sort of CRISIS.
Do tell, I wouldn't like to miss it!!! (I must have lost my copy of " THE 30-SOMETHING BIG BOOK OF RULES".)

Well the classic 30-something crisis tends to kick in anytime between 29 and 39 so you're time will come Jack, your time will come lol!

In recent times the 30 years are getting a new pressure around them, we're told 30-something is still young yet there's an equal pressure from many quarters that we should be 'sorted' by this time, very confusing for some us
