Jonny - turning out to be the most *cunning* and *false* of all the housemates..

If you had the chance to observe some of Adele’s conversation with Alex last night you would have picked up on the fact that Jonny has been informing the group that he just might have to pick up a ‘strike’ this week as he cannot push himself to nominate anyone… he wishes to make the statement that he has so closely bonded [cheer sympathy] with *all* of the housemates [even Alex] that its becoming an impossible task for him to find a valid reason and therefore upset people; so nice isn’t he.

The guy actually ‘cares’ about what you the public will think of him .. not to mention the other housemates... – Or could he be playing a more skilled and cunning game, one in which he attempts to convey a false personality over to the public that he thinks they will grow to ‘like’ and then ‘love’ .. even if this means being not his real self but completely and utterly ‘false’ throughout .. Remember, his personality has changed week in week out depending on how he ‘perceives’ the nominations have gone.. and therefore adapting to be the kind of housemate he thinks stands the better chance of winning.. being anything but his real self.

We already know from previous weeks that he has said that he’s studied almost ALL of the Big Brother programs that have been broadcast around the globe. He has been in numerous message forums [remember the early conversations?] regarding how the public get behind the program .. and how the internet ‘fan’ system works.. in all, he has a game plan in his head far superior to all of the others, a strategy that he changes only slightly but one that has been proven to work in the majority of shows broadcast already.. he is well aware of how previous contestants have gained huge public sympathy by showing great human kindness towards your fellow housemate.. or even to target a person in a subtle backhanded way, creating apathy towards another housemate.. but he’s worried, he’s sweating .. it might not be working, he’s running scared now..

He entered the show knowing full well that he would have to nominate other housemates, its in the contract, they are ‘schooled’ in it before being chosen… and lets not forget .. he’s studied the show so deeply, so how on earth could he ever think otherwise.. unless this tactic has worked in a show elsewhere, such as Brazil.. I would argue that he is the most false person out of the entire group .. at least with some of the others you know what your getting, but with Jonny, he’s pulling the wool over all our eyes.. and most of you can’t see it..

I just hope that we do not get taken in by his falseness and elect to boot him out at the earliest opportunity.. whilst no one other than Alex is being their real genuine-self .. Jonny has taken being ‘false’ to a whole new level .. just don’t forget it when it comes to nominations!

Jonny is both false and a pathetic excuse for a man, he really reminds me of someone.....MY EX, get him out!!!

Thats very interesting I didn't realise he was such a BB 'expert'. Its been obvious that he changes personality week by week depending on what he thinks the viewers want though. Is it my imagination or is he looking older by the day? He looked pretty knackered for 29 when he went in, but all this agonising on who to be the next day seems to be taking its toll!

I'm still trying to figure out who the real Jonny is - loud and annoying Jonny from the first 2 weeks or the downbeaten, muted Jonny that has shown himself since then.

Will the real Jonny please stand up.

Go On You Good Thing
He is so nice, loves his fellow housemates. wants what's best for them, and hids the nasty feelings he has for them so well. Alex the **** ,should look and learn, but he is to busy looking into Tims eyes to notice.

its like a new hate campaign is starting to build against jonny.
i must be watching a different program as i reckon jonny and alex are the most genuine house mates in their.
i reckon his personallity has changed because they have been their 4 weeks now and its probably like leaving in a flat with people now. when first go in he may have tried to pit himself about but now hes got to know them its just like living in house, sitting on a couch and watching tv (if they had one).

No I dont hate Johnny, I just dont like him. Personally I dont see how a person can act like a completely different person to what he was in the first few weeks to now and still "Be himself" His humour is also not my style, he reminds a bit of that guy in the show Jackass.

The REAL Jonny is the Fireman from Tynesaide that is TOTALLY DESPERATE to win £70k and will do anything he can to achieve that. Good on him really.

No, the wool is not being pulled over my eyes. I don't really think Jonny is being false. People are just searching for things to find wrong with him now. He hasn't been that depressed, but a few things in the house have upset him. Jonny is one of those people who needs a partner for jokes and stuff, Alison is gone, so he doesn't have that anymore. Sandy told him things that really upset him, then with Spencer leaving he felt so guilty, if Jonny really was as false as you all say he is, why would he nominate Spencer? That's hardly not the best decision tactically with the public watching?

On to a different subject, if you want to find fault with housemates in there, why not pick on Jade, Tim, Adele and Alex? Their bullying of Sophie is absolutely horrible to watch, it is like the mean kids in the school yard picking on the weak person. Mocking the way she speaks, using every opportunuity to bitch behind her back... and still you find it necessary to say that Jonny is the one we should vote out.

I think you're spot-on Elysium. There is something very sly looking about Jonny & he looks even more sinister since the haircut. He constantly plays to the cameras & there's a sad air of desperation about him. Alex's double survival has knocked him for 6 & what a farce about not wanting to nominate anyone - as if Alex & Sophie aren't on his list. He looked gleeful when he chose Tim for the poor side. Common little man gets to bring posh tosh down to his level.
BTW - I don't like Jonny!

I'm not to keen on Jonny but i think most of it could be due to me not understanding a lot of what he says , I wouldn't say that i totally dislike him though i just can't follow the conversations that he has

A friend of mine works with Jonny at Peterlee Fire Station and insists that in reality "he's a nice lad" - I find this hard to reconcile with the Jonny that we see on Big Brother, he comes across as a snake. Have you seen him in conversation with people like Jade? I reckon she gets right on his nerves, but he is very patronising and tries to act interested in what she's saying. From his replies and questions it almost sounds as if he is. But look at his eyes, he's acting.

Jonny is trying to be all things to everybody and is being completely false.

This was clearly evident last night when Jade tried to apologise over the “musical chair” fiasco .. his facial reactions did not match the words coming out of his mouth; Jade picked up on this as well, mentioning several times to the effect of, “You really don’t like me now do you .. you think I cheated, don’t you.. “ ..

I have a feeling that the other housemates are beginning to see through him .. I just hope the public do too.

I'm sure Jonny is a 'nice lad' as you say. But this is not a go to work and go home situation. This is a program in which each HM trying to remove their opposition one by one. Jonny thinks he has a good chance of winning. I just think he isn't confidant enough to think he'll win by being himself, whoever that is. He has certainly reinvented Jonny at least once, maybe more. I don't like him. I can only keep asking "who is Jonny?".

Oh my God, he was not fake during that conversation with Jade. He was joking, saying that's ok, you needed it more than me, and then pulling long faces. Then he said I'll kill myself Wednesday, which is obviously a joke.

I think that hits the nail on the head and I suspect he is like that outside the house as well. He wants to be liked by all people, a facet of us all I suspect. However it's not standing him in good sted in the house.

I think Jonny feels a little overwhelmed by the others in the house, for all he is older there are other people in the house who seem to have far more life experience, tales to tell etc and I think its making him feel a bit self concious about his own experiences and level of education (and I don't just mean traditional schooling but self-education, university of life and all that)

Hmmmm.... good points. He cannot get away from that very base side of his persona tho'.... we had another session from him about his long dangly bits last night - that seemed to perk him up, but no one listened and he went all glum again.

It can be if you are not being true to yourself.

I find Jonny to be a genuine enough fella, as for not being true to himself, if thats the case then the only person he is hurting is him - thats not 'wrong' just self-destructive.

Jonny in ANY persona is still the best person there.
Having said that I must add that I personally dislike them all because they are so lacking in personality, couth, intelligence, sense of humour etc.( I could go on but don't want to become as tedious as a house-mate).

Jonny is the best of a TERRIBLE bunch IMO

I think Jonny's nomination strategy was to pick people who he thought no-one else would. In that way he would never be seen to be the one putting the knife in. It back-fired on him in spectacular fashion when both his choices last week came up and that's why he went into the diary room to express his deep regret at having nominated Spencer. This is probably why he is saying he's finding the nominations so hard, it must have seemed a good strategy before he went in, but it's a lot harder to do in practice.
