HomeChoice and Compensation

Hi there,

With the cock ups and the failing of the set top box many times over the weekend, since last Thursday - I was just investigating as to whether anyone had got any compensation from our friends at HomeChoice ?

I am just after a couple of months on Music - something that doesn't cost HomeChoice anything but is a good will gesture...........

Anyone had any luck ? Any one an idea in mind ?

All I've ever got is a refund for the time the service was not working.

yeah, i just managed to persuade CS to give me some money back for the recent downtime. mind you it was like getting blood out of a stone... they say that they had no record of my complaint. i explained that after being on hold to them for several stints of an hour at a time, then giving up, that of course they won't have any record of my complaint. presumably the reliability problems that everyone seems to be encountering mean that the phones are flooded so noone can get through.

anyone else think that now HC do evening+weekend phone calls they should make calls to their CS number free too - rather than an extra cost non geographic number!!

I posted about on another thread - I got £6 credit for three days' downtime and Movies Now Express free for a month - I was quite pleased with it.

If you can't get through, call their new customer number and insist on being put through. Having worked in customer services, my tips are to refuse to take no for an answer, tell them you've very disappointed in their service and ask them what they will offer you as a "goodwill gesture"!

They left me without a TV service over the entire Xmas period last year. I thought this should have been worth more than the 2 weeks downtime refund I got.
