politically i'm poles apart from any true blue tory but having met a few at conferences etc. some appear to be human beings.

Yay!! At last people are giving Epicurus a piece of their mind. If you support Kate you are relegated to being unintellectual....he can't see beyond precious Adele.

i'm guessing he could be a disaffected politics student. they're the only politics student i know who know the ins and outs of the british system - it's always the easy option at honours.

For what it's worth, I think it would be good for Sophie to be evicted, atleast then she will be able to answer back to some of the bitching that has been said behind her back! Also if she goes then maybe Jade and Adele will focus there bitching on each other, but unfortunatly I think Kate will get the most of it

What makes me laugh is the way Jade goes on as if she is vastly superior to Sophie..she may be a bit on the boring side but she is infinately better looking than that ugly, immature, swill munching, gammon gut!!!

I agree that Adele has been manipulating everyone but i do think people on these forums are being a bit unfair!

You have 12 (or in this case 14) people go into a house for 10 weeks of their life (potentially) to win £70K or, what they really want, which is celebrity. They don't go in there to make 12 new mates. So yes, Adele is being all things to all people, is making sophie's life miserable and is generally using Jade to do most of the dirty work, but why should she behave differently? the only reason i can think of is because she's risking public hatred of her (although it never did Nick any harm once he was out) and so will not win. However the most famous HMs of the past have been those who've stayed in longest so adele is not nec. being stupid my going for the 'no nomination' route.

Sophie meanwhile should stick up for herself - she's going to get nominated anyway (she must know this) and so should just tell them to f**k off. As people have pointed out more than once, they're all adults in there (even Jade!) and should take responsibility for what goes on there. It's true that not everyone can see what we see in terms of Adele's machinations, but isn't that what life's about? isn't that why we enjoy BB anyway? because for the only time in our lives we can see everything and find out what's going on behind other people's backs? it gives us control of the situation in a way we can never have in our own lives. Personally, i love BB and i often wonder how i would cope in the BB house but ultimately i think everyone in the house must be slight psychotic to contemplate 10 weeks without people you can trust, books to read, knowledge of what's going on in the outside world, freedom etc... i think you ultimately actually have to be pretty self-obsessed to find the idea of living in the BB house at all attractive and i think that most of the HMs in there this time are just that. so we shouldn't be surprised that many of them seem so 'shallow'.

Anyway, these are just my thoughts on the whole thing - it's easy to become really involved in the HMs and their lives while watching BB but i think it's so easy to take hatred of the people inside too far... i am sure people will disagree with me and feel free to! just wanted to add my piece i guess...

elfpetal (aw, what a cute name), you made some really good points. I agree that if Adele wants to try to win this by manipulating others, fine, let her off, it IS a game. However, making Sophie's life a misery isn't really game playing, it's bullying.
