If Alex came upto me with his monotonious voice and O.A.P. friendly slow paced natter - I'd probably just walk away.

I am A cable viewer and have watched nearly all afternoon and so far the camera has been almost exclusively on Alex, why? The only break from him has been when they have showed Tim, but only when none of the other poor side are with him. This coverage is so biased against the poor side that i think the public are beeing manipulated to ensure Alex will have a very lucrative carrer after leaving the BBhouse.

Maybe if the camera is on him all the time people will get bored of him?

I have been watching also and found the camera to always be on Jade and/or PJ.

Even if he was to ask you for directions?

Well I for one would make him a nice cup of green tea and have a good old chinwag about Formula One, but there again I like OAP natter

He is not the brighest star in the system but he does show he at least tries to better himself - he often mentions the things he's read or watched and I'm a big admirer of anyone at whatever level who tries to keep what grey cells they have working and learning.

As for the 'he must hate Kate' brigade I think too many fall into the asy trap of, if you don't like someone you must therefore dislike them. This isn't true and he said as much last night. He does not like Kate due to what he see's as her dependency on playing the tearful little girl routine when they first entered the house - this is perogative and for the record a view I saw of Kate. However, this does not mean he dislikes her, there is good old indifference inbtween, as the saying goes nothing is as simple as black and white.

He has been much ridiuled for being an 'old woman' mainly due to the fact he is sensitive and last night he was very open that he had no great intention of bringing Kate to whichever side he was on as he did not like her (NOT because he disliked her) but was genuinely concerned that he had 'condemned' her to the poor side last week when she was having her period and had he known that he'd have put such indifference aside so she could have been in rich side whilst she was on.

When with Sandy he could resort to bitching, no doubt all the hosuemates at this time were highly strung, but I don't find him particularly bitchy when Jade and Adele get going. He states his facts, he's entitled to that but he rarely goes into the mocking that others do. And not being the brightest button I don't think he always sees the bitching around him - perhaps this is a result of working in the model industry, I work in a similar media related industry and after a while you do become immune to it - sad state of affairs really but I'm afraid it's the truth.

Who the h*ll is going to give that mummy's girl whimp of a human being a "lucrative career". If you can't hack it with other people's faults then your going nowhere in life.

How the h*ll is he going to hold down any friends because at some point one their niggly little faults is gonna show through and that'll be that for Alex?

I think that BB are trying to create a new Brian for us all because you have to remeber any publicity he creates is good publicity for them, especially for enticing new HM's after this years f**k up. He's already a model so he knows more about playing the game than the others and like it or not he has a personality.

If that's all he doesn't like about Kate, then how come he now "get's on" with Jade?

What I see is soemone who was intimidated by Kate's rejection of him. He now feels he has to "make her pay" for failing to submit to boosting his ego - typical model!

On the grounds he ha never made a play for Kate to be rejected the last statement doesn't wash at all I'm afraid.

When he explained last night that he didn't like that facet of Kate's personality Jade said she did as well (or more precisely 'but i do thaaat an all') And he politely said, 'but Jade you're something else' a rather polite way of saying he recognises she is a slice short of a loaf whereas Kate is compus mentas and a product of her upbringing no doubt.

So if he talked really fast and talked a load of crap like Jade for example you'd prefer to talk to him?

i cant understand the comments about alex he is not weak or a nancy as someone posted.just because alex is not a beer swilling,stinking,sweaty,ugly,foul mouthed,inconsiderate,dirty,sexist,rude couch potato like most men he gets called effeminate..
i think alex is more man than any in the house for the sheer fact that he doesnt feel awkward about showing his insecurities and kindness.if more men were like him there would be far less marital problems and divorce.he understands women and all you neanderthals out there should take a tip from him i bet he gets more girls into bed with his chat.
and before you ask i am no feminist i am married with 2 kids and have a husband that like alex is understanding and gentle and that certainly doesnt affect his prowess............i divorced one that was the complete opposite so i know what both sides of the fence feel like and i wouldnt swop for anything

Alex is a really lovely guy, with an infectious personality and a genuine caring for the other housemates. Being a model you would think he would have such a big ego nothing would phase him but he really does have a sensitive side which is very endearing.(rather like Brian last year).

His comment in the diary room that the flattering remarks by Adele and Jade had really meant a lot to him was so touching, and especially when he added that not many people say such things to him. What??? a model who does not think he is the one and only......but yes we have one in the gorgeous Alex.

The coverage does show a lot of Alex but the "rich" side is always shown more than the "poor" side...this applied to when Alex was on the poor side, he did not have that much coverage during that week. He has become the most interesting bod on the show this year and if it does not carry him to week 9 and the £70,000 the public will have been duped by one of the other back-biting housemates.

Each one of the others have their game-plan, Jonny with his "smothing things over" before nominations, PJ being nice to everyone until the mask slips, as with Alex when he did not pick him for the rich side and worst of all is Adele who has admitted that she has a strategy and is playing the game. She is two faced to everybody and I only hope she actually does have geunuine affection for Alex and is not just getting matey for her own ends. The public should see through her in the end and the winner is always the most genuine person in the house.....we shall wait and see but up to now my head and my heart says it is Alex.
