Sorry, I wont bother to reply then.
(but i was just trying to explain what ALEX was talking about)
I was also assuming that *if* you freeze a drink so the alcohol and water would separate (which I don't think you could though who am I to argue with alex ? ; ) ), you would NOT drink the ice with the alcohol - or why bother?)

I'd reply but I'll probably get told off. So I won't
Becuase I'm under the apparently mistaken impression that when someone takes the time and trouble to make a posting, they are offering something for discussion. Apparently some people just do it as some kind of demonstration of their typing prowess and get upset when someone responds.

Kate's dad reads the Sunday Times: good man!

And it's £1.20 by the way: excellent value, as it does take all day to read.

just thought i would write a little message about how people are using your name, even though i doubt you are a cleric, you could have a child, or be a leather daddy, anyway, are you going to do anything about it?

(although i dont really care who you are, you do have at least coherent thoughts)

cat02 (waiting for a cat03, cos i am so RAD!)

oh yeah adele was very funny trying to work out whether it would be more or less alcoholic cos when water freezes theres more of it. she was the thinking mans jade.

Not sure what you're apologising for old chap, if there were any misunderstandings, then I would have been at least half responsible:

Jacks tendency to verbosity > increased probability of misunderstanding.

nah theophylline and theobromine are stimulants,

http://www.no-occident.com/noamino.htm#B

Apparently polyphenols in tea slow down the effect of the stimulant.
”

Yes, after posting that I went and read the page I'd referenced and it says there quite clearly too that they're all stimulants...I was trying to scan read the article and took something out of context...science at a rush to try and seem like I know what I'm on about doesn't work

I'm going to spend a few minutes before bed now trying a web search into the freezing effects of alcoholic drinks to get back to the first question...

Nite all...

Don't just read the current page!
We're actually discussing something that Alex said the other day.
So it is kind of BB related...

http://www.wineworldfdw.com/freezer_system.html

To summarize, it says it is illegal, and it does work...for wine/beer...not vodka etc, I think that point is clear from these quick searches...
”

Er, if customs and excise comment on something, it'll be related to duty (after all that's what they DO)- I still am not convinced that there's anything illegal about an individual freeze distilling the odd bottle of vodka etc. As no excise duty is lost to Mr C&E.

I assume the difference beer/vodka is to do with the water content: beer is very watery so much more of the ice would separate out.

I'm more interested in more pure alcohol for the sake of this exercise, though.

Jack

Yes, me watching the GP too. And McNish is seemingly out. oh dear.
At least Rubino back in the race. Hurrah!!!

Good start by Button, poor McNish. Pistachio is very stressed as darling Ralfie is now 4th.
