Mobile phone unlocking
Hi all - i see the free unlocking thread is getting bigger and bigger.
Just thought it be an idea to have a sticky with all of the generic codes in the first post and from then on every now and then when peoples questions have been answered have all posts related to that question (unlock code) removed. Just an idea David |

I like the idea of posting the generic codes (i.e those codes that apply to every phone of a certain model) as a sticky but three problems with your ideas:
1. No one ever reads stickys 2. I can't see the mods permanently monitoring the thread to remove posts once an answer is provided. The basis of DS is not a question & answer service but rather one of a library of all past discussion. 3. The history of the thread is actually very useful - it is certainly where I gained alot of my knowledge in relation to mobile phone unlocking. In it's current form it allows anyone (DS members or even just lurkers) to see the results and learn for themselves how to unlock their mobile. In certain circumstances, the history is very useful, e.g. to identify the box serial number required when unlocking Nokia phones. Therefore, I suggest leaving the current thread as is. It performs its function and the owners of this site appear happy for it to remain in its current format. As they say: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
