BB telling Jonny to rethink how he nominates.
accidie
25-06-2002
Jonny has just come into the poor bedroom and told them that BB had suggested earlier to rethink his nomination strategy. He said he wasn't sure how much he was allowed to say, but he was being told to be more tactical. Makes you wonder just what goes on in the Diary Room and just how much BB tries to influence the nominations.

who did he nominate? Ant chance they might be hinting at him to see adele for what she is?? Wishful thinking

Alex and Tim were his choices, hope he chnages to Jade and Adele next week, cos if Sophie goes there's only one guaranteed vote left for Jade and that's from Kate.

So far, I think he's nominated

Sandy + Alex
Sandy + Alex
Spencer + Alex
Alex + Tim

Looks like he can't see further than the nearest male rival.

I wouldn't put it past Jonny to be nominating people he thinks couldn't possibly be nominated by everyone else.

I know everyone thinks hes dead cunning - and I am sure he does try to play the game BUT I think he is actually taking it far too seriously and it really stresses him out - which is why he seems to have aged about 10 years since the start.

Do you think he might have made it up. If the HMs aren't allowed to discuss noms. amongst themselves, why should BB be allowed to advise them on tactics?

Well he's missed the opportunity now and whatever he does if he is there in the future will be in vain anyway. There will be too many on the 'other side' for his or kate's vote to count from now on.

His voting patterns have been pretty consistant - he votes for people he doesn't like and if he is to be believed, he only voted for Spencer last week because he thought no-one else would so he could waste his vote. It looks like he did a similar thing this week in voting for Tim. Not a winning strategy.

Not necessarily, if PJ's reasons for nominating Adele were to "leak", Adele could end up with 3 votes next week (Jonny + Kate + PJ). I don't think Jade is as vunerable because I can't see PJ nominating her (for fear of the public reaction).
That might be enough to get Adele nominated.

I actually read in the BB magazine, one of the rules is that diary room conversations mustnt be discussed with fellow housemates, which seems a bit odd since no1 has been issued a strike or warned about this

In the diary room on friday J said that one of the reason that he voted for Spencer was that he reckoned that he wouldn't be nominated. He said something like it would "Waste a vote".

J seems to be really worried about how he come across to the public. IMO this is not because he wants to curry favour to win he ust doesn't want to come across as two faced. J seems to be thinking too much about how he is viewed. The first nomination really took the wind out of his sails. He hasn't been the same person since.

That was my first thought to. I very much doubt BB would do such a thing and it makes me wonder if this all part of the Jonny Masterplan...

I'd like to believe you but given the way this BB has gone can you blame me for thinking that this won't happen?

I don't think it's likely, but it's possible. Next week's noms will be crucial - if another of Jonny, Sophie, or Kate gets picked off, the Adele-Jade-Alex triangle will be pretty invunerable.

Do you think BB are refering to the fact johnny says he used spencer as a waste vote and that maybe he should be more tactical about his voting in future (if he has one?)

This is odd, if it's true.

Since Johnny has always voted for Alex and then "thrown away" his second vote, it's tantamount to BB telling Johnny not to nominate Alex.

Like Michelle S, I suspect it's not that sinister - more likely that Jonny is still peddling this "i'm a nice guy, me " routine and saying because he feels guilty he tries to throw his vote. BB has got no time for this kind of rubbish and suggests to him that if this strategy is making him unhappy perhaps he should change it! Either way, if Alex is the one Jonny dislikes, he is going to nominate him anyway - it's just a question of who else...

The problem with Jonny is he is a nice guy but in this house nice guy's won't win - why did he not vote for Jade after his chat with Sophie on Sunday night. It seems to me that Jonny can't bring himself to vote for a female HM.

Is Sophie staying the key to getting out Jade then Adele?
