Motorola WAP Problems
I've swapped my old banger of a phone for my daughters old (just over a year
but ancient to her!) Motorola V500 Camera phone. It was originally on the Orange network until she had it chipped and it now takes my o2 sim card no problem apart from the WAP facility. I have changed the settings on it to www.o2.co.uk but it still doesnt connect and keeps on telling me to try later. o2 customer services say the phone might just not work the wap services at all. Any help or information whether it will or not would be appreciated. Thanks in advance |

Dont bother asking 02, they dont have a clue.
A lot of posts i have seen with similar problems can sometimes be fixed by flashing the phone with "neutral" firmware. The one on the phone at the moment is likely to be Orange branded. You may be able to get it flashed in a local mobile phone shop (not the network's shops), or i think Carphone Warehouse do flashing. Hope this helps, DOS |
