Am I the only one to think that this endless Jade Bashing is making this forum really boring ?

That's beside the point, I like talking about big brother, good points and bad points, but surely there's other things to talk about other than this constant bitching about Jade.

Its no better than the bullying that's going on from Jade to Sophie. The only difference is that Jade is not here to defend herself.

There's no need to take that attitude. Before you continue posting, have a read of out terms and conditions, particularly 2.1:

Totally agree. While i think Jade has been pretty horrible in the house, there is no reason for this bashing to be happening. Its totally out of order. I actually fear for her mental and physical safety once out the house, i just hope the BB producers know exactly what they are doing.

I don't mind when people are 'slagging' Jade off about the way she has been acting, but I too think that this Jade is a pig stuff is getting very boring. It's childish playground behaviour really.

Thank goodness, I thought I was the only one that thinks that way. I think the producers really need to keep an eye on the situation, because she's very young both in age and outlook, and I don't think she could handle the backlash she's going to get when she comes out.

I really do ope that they are going to do something for her when she gets out. Unfortunatly she was far too imature to do this and hasn't coped with it very well. She has made a lot of mistakes but then you show me somebody who hasn't. She is still human and I don't think she expects for one minute that she knows what she's going to come out to and is undoubtably going to need a lot of help to cope because there's going to be a lynchmob waiting for her.

I agree that Jade bashing is boring - but the whole series is really boring and there is little else to talk about - I CHALLENGE ANYONE TO COME UP WITH SOMETHING INTERESTING....

If there was a bookie taking bets on Jade leaving through the back door - I'd definitely put a bet on.

The truth is though - she's really spiced up the house and all related gossip. I agree that calling Jade a pig, etc is cruel though - and getting a bit boring.

I'd like to see Jade evicted by the public, but not with a scary crowd waiting for her outside. That would be too cruel and dangerous.

In that case Neil - why are you letting people post what amount to sladerous comments about Jade - I've seen people imply she was a prostitute, a drug addict and that her parents are of dubious background. I've also seen what amounts to incitement to murder - utterly crazy stuff!
I'm totally against censorship, but surely Jade and her family could take action against you guys over what is posted here (and possibly win more than £70k)? And if one of them were to complain to your ISP surely you could be taken down pretty quickly?

There is a be nice to Jade thread and plenyty of non Jade related threads. It's not as though she is all people talk about.

As with the nature of BB, people have their opinions of the contestants, and aren't prevented from airing them here. We will step in, however, if the comments go too far -- for example, "Jade is a prositute" -- that's hardly opinion. Saying "I think Jade is two-faced," or similar, however, is.

As for the second commentt, take a look at our T&Cs:

5.1 Material which is posted on any bulletin boards or chat forums is written by Users and We are not responsible for and give no endorsement of such material.

and also:

You make a good point. The Jade-bashing is fun to an extent - I have taken part solely to wile away an otherwise boring working day and a number of points arise:

1. The comments about Jade being a pig and/or comments regarding her character are not going to get anybody in trouble - the best defence in these instances is of course that the comments were true. C4 have many hours of video evidence that would prove most of these comments to be reasonable and hence not libellous.

2. The other allegations regarding drugs/prostitution etc etc. are on dangerous ground as there is little or no evidence to prove these accusations are true.

In this case then Digital Spy may well be wise to consider removing certain comments as they are publishing the comments and any complaint to their ISP would certainly result in the forum being closed as the ISP as well as Digital Spy (and theoretically the poster) could all be in the legal firing line.

Yippie! A voice of common sense. There's been a v. nasty turn here in the last few weeks. I mean it's one thing to support the HMs you like and critique, with sassy atitude backed by adequate reasoning, the ones you don't, but all the anti-Jade posting has become a bit like the rage of Caliban looking at himself in the mirror.

The forum was more fun than BB itself till the endless rants began.

Wholeheartedly agree. It's one thing commenting upon her behaviour in the house, and possible repercussions when she is evicted, but commenting upon her looks, calling her names and commenting upon her family is unfair and uncalled for.

A lot of remarks that walk the line are obviously intended to be funny, but there are plenty that aren't.

These people are just playing a game, does that give us the right to pillory them? I guess it's the old debate about people that put themselves in the spotlight making themselves fair game for the media. I've always believed that people have a right to privacy and respect for those things which have nothing to do with their fame.

Neil - fair comment - but what you put in your T&C's will not change the perspective of a twitchy ISP, particularly in the current environment. I've known sites pulled simply because some anonymous dim wit (who, incidentally had a rival site) wrote tothe ISP questioning the legality of content that was posted on a bulletin board... my tip would be to take a look at your contract not your T&Cs. I, frankly, don't give a f*ck what goes on here - only other than feeling uncomfortable with hysterical jade bashing in what is pretty much a decent forum...

Yes, your Terms are fine for kicking offenders off the forum but when it comes to your ISP and god help you the courts, they will not be much use to you I am afraid.

The point will be you are aware of the comments being made, you are aware of their questionable legality and hence you would be expected to have done something about it.

I hold my hands up to starting the 'Jade is not a pig' discussion albeit partly to see how many people would read the statement but will gladly assist in stopping it by shutting/removing the post if this can be done - I don't know how you do it though.

Any suggestions?

It's one of the reasons I joined this forum...coz I was getting fed up of silly posts on the official one.

Sorry, I should have made that clearer... I wasn't talking about our IAP.

I gather that legally speaking we're not required to vet any post, but we are expected to remove any posts when complained about (and justified). As you can see, the forums are buzzing right now, so it's a difficult task -- using the "report this post to a moderator" button helps us a lot.

Was it not Graham Norton who started the name-calling on his Channel 4 show right after BB? Pretty bad example he has set . . . I thought it was a more than a little cruel at the time . . . and he should really know better . . still if he can call someone such names (presumably he was green-lighted to do so by Channel 4's monitoring solicitors), then the purile cretins who post on here cant have much to worry about, especially as few people have the balls to log-on to this forum using their real name . . . . . . . me included.

Sticks and stones etc etc . . . . . . I hope Jade lands some nice work after BB and at least makes a few quid out of it all . . . . . she deserves it after all the nastiness which she neither deserves nor expects.

I think the big brother producers have to make an example of some of the housemates who are guilty of the bullying in this series, if only to make Jade aware of it to stop her making a spectacle of herself and causing all this bad feeling against her.
