HM's to see pyschologist tonite
net chick
26-06-2002
All the housemates are to see the pyschologist tonight, it s standard procedure now they are at the halfway mark to discuss any issues they may have.
BigBro said they may take as long as they need.

So Jade could well be holed up until the end of the series!

Has that guy got his work cut out!
(and i am not being sexist they said it was a male pyschologist)

BB notified them they had the opportunity be brain vetted.

Jade probably tginks a pyschologist is a packed lunch with pickled onions in red wine sauce.

Someone that checks out your Genitalia, well her brain is in her arse anyways!!!

We could start a what Jade probably thinks (a Word) means thread....on second thoughts it could be funny, but would go on for years!!

Daughter mentioned to me this morning that this was happening.
Is it standard procedure for this BB because I can't remember it happening in the others?
If it was only brought in for this BB when was this decision made?

Hopefully the psychologist comes prepared with a shotgun when it's Jade's turn.

I think they have had the psychologist other years as well. I think the HMs can ask to see the psychologist at any time as well, although I'm not 100% sure. I just dont think the BB producers like to emphasise the fact incase it suggests that the HMs might become mentally unstable from being in there

I remember them being able to see them whenever they wanted last year. Maybe they have introduced it at the halfway mark after what has been going on re the bitching.

Yeah they called Adele into the diary room and she came out with a sheet of paper telling them all about it.

Methinks though all the interviews will be treated with professional confidenttiality shame....

Yes I remember they had it last year, the reason it stuck out in my memory was because I remember brummie Dean said he wanted to see Psychs more often after leaving BB2. He obviously quite enjoyed it.

Sandy had said that he wanted to talk with the psych before he left about his difficulty in talking with people. Don't know if this happened or not.

Are these the same psychologists who certified Jade to be mentally fit to live in the Big Brother household. If so God help them all

Thanks all

I remember them having access to psychs whenever they felt the need in previous BBs, I just don't remember them having booked sessions like tonight

Wondered if it had anything to do with the obvious public concerns over Jade and her behaviour, and mental well-being and the effect she may be having on the other Hms.
BB are aware as several forum memebers have emailed them (no-one has had a reply as far as I am aware) and I am sure other people have too.

Be quite interesting to see if BB actually do begin to 'get tougher' with a certain individual whom they might feel that taking the rear exit might be in her 'best interest' in light of the psych's 'chat.'

Even if some psychologists expressed concern with putting Jade in the house im sure C4 would have dismissed them if they thought she would bring more viewers in, i mean its only a person their exploiting after all isn't it?

I was watching E4 this afternoon when the psycho's visit was mentioned. They stated that he would be able to see four of the housemates today and four of them tomorrow. They will be called in alphabetical order. They can spend as little or as long as they like with him / her. They are confidential and they may wish to discuss how they are after the first few weeks in the house.

Jade immediately mumbled something like, " I don't need to see anyone."

She then when into house and got onto the treadmill and started reading a folder, which I think was there copy of the rules. Clearly she believes she is in control !!

I dont know the ins and outs of psychological assessment but (and i'm not being a smarty-pants here) what if he decides that Jade should not be in the BB house as she is not capable - or for whatever reason. It could happen you know. Will she forever be the mentally unstable housemate referred to in the same breath as Penny from BB2. I would feel really sorry for her if something like that happened. Dont get me wrong - I am totally opposed to everything I have ever heard Jade say but I just feel that maybe this is a bit of a stunt to get Jade out the back way.

BB will not send jade out unless it is really necessary. It would not be good for the show/viewing figures as she is good entertainment value. I can't see them wanting to get rid of her. If anything, I can see them keeping her in for their own benefit instead of thinking of her mental health.

NIce one "Brett".....hope he wasn't tipping her off about most folks on the outside hating her and Jade

I assumed the psychologist was called Brett, like in previous series... does anyone know definitively?

i reckon they a bringing in the shrink now because of all the stuff going on with sophie. i think that they know they cant physically or verbally stop the bullying that sophie has been put through as it may be seen as influencing the housemates so they are sending in the the shrinks to stop her from cracking up.
they might be scared that if she does they maybe made liable.
