Didn't like Sophie much but...
Roz
26-06-2002
She impressed me in the diary room tonight (C4) talking about how she was being bullied but then laughing about it.
I don't think she deserves the slagging off she's getting; although she does get on my nerves, I wouldn't have kept harping on about it like all those in the rich side, and Tim. I would hate to be in Sophies position and if I was in her place I would have had to walk... there is no need for such bitchiness.

she does seem to be coping with it well, luckily she doesn't seem to value their opinions too much, so the fact that they don't like her, is not of much importance.

keep your chin up Sophie!

Yep, I too thought Sophie showed a great amount of character in the DR tonight. She didn't even use any swear words - she kept cool about the situation, and IMO is doing brilliantly to not lower herself to their level. She has the best character and is the nicest HM in there IMO. Please don't let her be voted out this week - I think the British public could really get behind her. OK, she she is not the most exciting personality wise, but she is very emotionally strong, and for that alone I take my hat off to her.

I'd say she doesn't seem to be coping with it very well, she's been very withdrawn and downcast and that is hardly surprising given the level of unjust criticism of her that is flying around that house. She is very short of allies and has more or less resigned herself to the fact that the situation is irreparable. I feel very sorry for her and am considering voting her out in order to spare her any more at the hands of the bitches (male and female).

She made a good point about the fact that this is all being done on TV. I think that fact that she has to worry about how millions of people percieve her would make the situation many times tougher when she may be able to cope with it normally.

NO! we simply cant let the bullies win. imagine how even more smug and obnoxious their reaction will be if they think that everyone else on the outside hates sophie too like they do. no, what we have to do is keep her in there. that will give a her a much needed boost of confidence and suddenly the bullies will start to worry. if sophie survives, the likes of adele and jade will start sh*tting themselves basically. they will realise that sophie is actually now quite well respected by the public. seeing adele, jade & tim leave the house before sophie to an almighty chorus of BOOS will be the perfect icing on the cake for us! it will be such a sweet revenge for both sophie and us viewers just for having to put up with these obnoxious and FAKE people for so long.

Well, these are not kids they are adults. Sophie ought to confront Jade and watch her reaction and let the public decide who is the real victim. Jade would just throw a total wobbler if confronted, as she has done in the past. Then I would ask Adele the same, and watch her lie through her teeth as she has no good reason to dislike Sophie, and let the public see Adele for the two faced liar she is. Tim would be more honest, fair enough, simple character conflict you can deal with. Sophie has time, even tho' she probably knows she will be evicted, so what does she have to lose? Go for it girl!

There is no way she is going to survive Friday. the only way to show the Gruesome Twosome how wrong they are is to make sure that Sophie gets the most enormous cheer when she leaves the house. When Jade and Adele take the walk of shame they should be greeted by total silence, preferably with the whole crowd turning there back to them as they walk past.

On the one hand Sophie's eviction could go to Jade and Adele's head and lead them to become overconfident and thus overplay their hand in which case more people may wake up to their machinations. I'd gladly leave Sophie in if I felt she had the strength to win one or two of the others over to her side but they all seem to regard her as superfluous. It's true that voting to keep her in would give the trinity of hatred something to think about and might pull the rug from under them but Adele would simply change tactics and manouvre herself into a more favourable light. It's a tricky decision, normally I'm very unambivalent as to which way to vote - I think I'm going to leave it until as late as possible and monitor events in the meantime.
