My dislike for Jade has reached disturbing levels, but I've found it comforting to know that so many others in this forum are as disturbed by her as I am. Still, I began to wonder what the average or casual C4 viewer thinks about her, so I've been asking co-workers, friends, even perfect strangers what they think of her, and it was interesting, to say the least.
Quite a few were rabidly anti-Jade, others thought she was a bit "gobby" but basically a nice girl, and a surprisingly high number quite liked her -- as does Graham Norton, apparently, despite his jibes.
I've heard that C4 intends to gather a pro-Jade crowd when she finally is evicted -- there might be a few isolated boos, but the bloodbath we have been anticipating (and dare I say looking forward to) will be avoided at all costs.
Apparently the thought of Jade sticking her head out the door, hearing only boos, and ducking back inside the house, refusing to go out was worrying the producers, so they are making sure it won't happen.
Can you imagine? After all she's done, Jade walks out of the BB house and is greeted by a cheering, enthusiastic crowd.
I don't think I could bear it.
