I think I have all the credentials to write an X Factor Column, so when I was offered the chance to write for a few, I chose my favourite. Reveal magazine.

Anyone with a good story, an avid fan or a finalist who wants a mention, please write to me.

I will read all your emails.

I can't promise that all your comments will be mentioned though.
This column, like the record business is very much reliant on other people to give it their blessings, but all my best wishes to all of you, even the haters.

Life is seriously too short!
Ro x

Also, check out my thank you list on my album next Monday 3rd October. (even if you don't buy it, you all get a mention)

No offence but if you managed to get a record deal then the world has gone mad.

Out of the 9 finalists myself and G4 got deals, so the world has gone mad!
Check out my message to all you haters and God bless you.

Get over it, get used to it, and whether either of us were your cup of tea, try to be humble, as I always TRY to be

If you can't, it says more about you, than me!

Have you ever had an audience?

I am an optimist, but I doubt it!

I have to get offline soon, but your message just goes to show how popular the show is.

Brian, you're a star, in this thread.
Enjoy it.

I have a busy week ahead but will read all RELEVANT and ELOQUANT threads.

Take care and God bless and give anything by Tabby, G4, VWS or Roberta a listen

Bit like Steves record deal,

We all like different kinds of music and different voices...
Diversity is a wonderful wonderful thing.

Rowetta has worked long and hard to get where she is and personally I think its about time.
She DOES have a bloody good voice..it may not be what you like but it is still damned impressive.

Why bring up Steve? Want to stir things up some more? Don't assume just because Brian Fantana isn't a Ro fan that automatically means he must be a Steve fan.

Honestly Syren really felt there was no need for that.

I think you forgot to say that Steve got a deal Rowetta - whether he chose to stay with the record company or not is irrelevant - he had a deal. I think he should definately be on the list of people worth listening to as well - didn't you say on several occasions that he had a lovely voice.
Good luck with the album!

A great height? I don't think so. I am a Steve fan so I do feel the need to defend him if the situation arises and I think it was unfair. Bryan stated his opinion, I'm not a Rowetta fan so I will leave the defending to her supporters

Thats my point!. BRyan made an unprovoked negative comment. of course RO fans will defend her. Just like you defend Steve.

anyway, we are going off topic......

Hardly jumped on from a great height Metafis, just a mild rebuke imo. Didn't think it was nessasary for Syren to have a dig at Steve as part of her defending Rowetta - it only serves to fan the flames of animosity and in the context of this thread Brians comments didn't seem to have any connection to Steve so couldn't see the merit in bringing him into the conversation.

As for whether its right or wrong for Brian to say what he said - why not ask him not me?

Anyway, the sun is shining, its Friday tomorrow and I've just had a lovely cup of tea and my 1st jaffa cake of the day

But who brought Steve into it??? I don't know what act Bryan supports but why assume he is a Steve fan just because he doesn't like Rowetta. It is possible that non Steve fans also don't like Rowetta too you know

I think the main body of Syrens post was very good, she made a flippant comment at the start, just like Bryans post was, evens it out.
The rest of her post made sense, ie, paraphrased, everyone has different tastes, and people arent 'mad' cos they like something others dont.
That should have been the end of it imo.
anyway Beths going to be jumping on all of us soon if we dont stop the squabbling, so back to topic.
you can pm me if you want to discuss this further

Ro

why did the Brians comment need to be "evened" out with a dig against Steve??

Rowetta started this thread about her column with no mention of Steve. Brian had a go at her - no mention of Steve..

Is this just a Rowetta thing? Everytime someone has a pop at her things will need to be evened out with a pop at Steve?

Or will he become a more widespread whipping boy?

i.e.
"Ken Livingstones at it again - increasing conjestion charges.."

"Yes, but Steve hasn't got a record contract anymore.."

or.. "The latest Pioneer Amplifier is rubbish"

"Well Steve's album was all covers"

I think its valid to mention Steve in the context. or anyone else in x factor.
could easily have been G4 or any of the other finalists.
anyway as I said, take it to PM if you want to continue, because this thread is going off topic and Beth will be jumping on us all soon.

Ignoring all the arguments, could you please promote the underdogs in your column. If someone isn't doing too well - say about their qualities.

Are you the same Syren who auditioned although not sure whether or not you got through?

For an aspiring singer you should know better than making sarcastic remark like this about Steve or any other artists/singers who in the case of Steve is actually 100x better singer than you.

When you have achieved (which I doubt) what Steve had in his first year as a winner of the show then yes, gloat if you must, but right now you're certainly not in the position to do so.

And bringing up Steve on this thread which is totally irrelevant & unnecessary is a real cheap shot, and for what....?????
