Whats the best PAYG deal?

Whats the best deal on PAYG (except O2)?

Depends what you are looking for really, after my brief spell with Vodafone PAYG (and paying 10p minimum call charge and 12p for texts) I decided I liked Virgin the best. Texting Virgin to Virgin is only 3p, they do some decent bundles that roll over from one month to the next and out of my bundel the tariff isn't too bad either. Customer service seems to be quite good again as well, which is always a plus.

Saying that, Vodafone's reception is a bit better round where I am.

Well I had Virgin before and I thought they were ok but I moved to easyMobile then T-Mobile, I would like about 200 minutes and 200 texts and about 200+ texts a month.

Why not get an O2 online Sim Only offer, they are only 30 day contracts, an Online 100 contract will get you 200 any time any network and 1000 texts for £25.00. You would be hard pushed to get that on any bundle packages on pay as you go.

As you said BESIDES o2, I'd have to be predictable and say that the £25 voucher on three for 500 anytime cross-network minutes is still a good deal.

Mind you, the only Threepay handset I'd think about recommending is the Motorola E1000. Check to see if your local Superdrug Three point has a refurbished model for £109.99.

Three nearly killed Threepay with the dirge of NEC crap and other budget dogs. Here's hoping the new handsets coming for Christmas will be better.

Steven, I know this doesn't really match your plans, but have you tried getting a contract?

Nah keep away from 3, they smell of piss and don't work properly.

Vodafone - 200texts for £10 // 500texts for £15 // 100mins for £15 // 200 mins for £25

Plus you get to browse Vodafone Live! for free (which isnt too bad) and stop the clock for off-peak calls

I know they're only 30day packs, but the network itself kicks o2's ass into next century

Agreed about 3 - best avoided.

What about the Vodafone deal? If you go with Smart Step you can get Stop The Clock which gets you calls up to 60 mins for the price of a 3 minute call. Great value if you use your phone off-peak and at weekends.

The o2 deal isnt that bad

The network seems ok round here, probably coz no uses it lol.It has improved since 03 when I left disgusted with the service.

The calls are reasonable, but pay&go isn't a patch on contract so my stay with o2 will not be long.

Why don't you save up for a contract? Then give your parents the line rental money?

3 are fine until you need, and you are stuck because the indian are no use at all!

I used to have T-Mobile but the phone was awful. I now have Orange and like them for Orange Wednesdays.

I am too young, I have to wait until next April to get a contract.

That offer sounds good, is it on pay as you talk? If so i could get 200 texts for £10 & 200 minutes for £25 =£35

500 texts for only £15 T-Mobile charge £25 for this, thats cheap

As for getting O2, I wouldn't touch O2 with a 10 foot barge pole!

Why you coming off T-Mobile? You drop networks more often then Kate Moss does modelling contracts

You're moving out, where? Text me I'm coming off here now.

Back onto topic, Vodafone PAYT looks the cheapest option for what you are looking for...you could get a sim for £4.99 from their website with £5 credit last time I looked

After moving from Vodafone to O2 Online PAYG I've had no problems with their network so far, an improvement from a while back when their MMS was a problem.

Yeah they are £1.99 with £2.00 credit on them, I dunno yet though as my phone is locked to T-Mobile so I might have to buy a new phone as my phone is T-Mobile branded.

You have a text message...
