Used pieces of paper with letters referring to specific housemates to influence nominations.

He had paper and a pen in the BB house and was writing's HM's names down and showing them to other HM's. Trying to sway the nominations etc.

How the hell did he think he'd get away with that?? Fair play for trying tho!

He got thrown out, so basically didn't get away with it.

Its funny to think back about that. At the time it was SUCH a big deal, but it seems a bit pathetic now!!

until he was rumbled and confronted by Craig at a 'round-the-kitchen-table' meeting with ALL the housemates and he was well humiliated . . live . . . wonderful stuff. hence the current BB paranoia about HM's discussing nominations in any way shape or form . . looking back . . Nick should have done a 'Sandy' at that point instead of being 'back-doored'.

What I dont get is, how did Nick get away with it. The housemates found him out not Big Brother. Nick could have been a Plant. Think about it, many people only started watching BB because Nick got booted out, I know thats the only reason I started watching. If he was showing housemates paper with names on they would have picked him up on camera and heard him through the microphone. How comes his guard didnt find the pen and paper in his bag? And how comes BB didnt see him writing the names on the paper?

The current housemates have discussed nominations far in excess of what 'nasty' Nick done...

Yeah Nicks antics seem nothing now compared to these frequent nomination 'chats' the HM's have on BB3!
Ah, happy days!

Although we didn't know about the bits of paper until the climactic end, they were only part of the drama. We and BB did see him backstabbing, attempting to influence others and generally saying things he shouldn't for a long while before he got rumbled by the housemates. It made gripping TV as we wondered just how long it could continue, and he did get graduated warnings (first verbal then written) from BB before they gave him the heave-ho.

This year BB is being sooooooooo lenient by comparison. The rules seem to have almost gone out the window; else most of the HMs would be struck out by now. nd

Before Big Brother told Nick of the decision to kick him out they said to him that they were unaware of anything being writen down and that he was not supposed to have any pens or paper on him.

Big Brother is watching you? eh?

He tried to influence others and had pieces of paper etc. He also told whopping lies in a bid to get sympathy etc such as saying he'd been married and his wife was killed in a car crash shortly afterwards, he'd been in the TA etc.

I can't see any similarities between him and these housemates. 'Nasty' Nick went in with a very definite gameplan which was mm, crap! He played the role of a pantomine baddie on purpose so the response from outside the house was of no shock to him and in fact I think he's relished it, he wanted to be a 'villian' and was play acting.

Jade in this house, I'm afraid that isn't play acting and she will care about the reaction towards her. She's chronically under educated, immature and fiery - a heck of a combination.

it was so funny when he had told everyone he had been in the army and they had to do the obstacle course task and he couldnt swing on the bars!

I heard that BB weren't aware of what Nick was doing with the bits of paper because he had found a blind spot from the cameras - something to do with his case/locker? or bed? - and BB just thought that he and his housemates were innocently looking in his case. I seem to remember that Darren then found what was going on by looking in Nick's case while he wasn't in the room.

I think this led to BB changing the camera coverage for BB2.

Ooh, my brain hurts from trying to remember all that. I think I better go and have a lie down!

There are BB1 recaps on this site by the way. e.g. Day 34 covers Nick being rumbled. nd
