Why was Jade told what the public think of her??

Apparently during her chat with the psychologist last night, Jade was told in no uncertain terms what the public thinks of her, and now she's told Adele and Alex that she's turning over a new leaf so that we (the public) can see what she's "really" like. A new kinder, softer Jade as it were.

The first thing she's done is make up with Sophie, explaining that the only reason she was so mean was to "force" Sophie to stand up for herself, to show some backbone. In other words, all that gossip that we thought was evil bitching was actually a clever ploy to help Sophie gain self-confidence.

Yes, and I'm an Angorian fruit bat.

She also intends to call a meeting and talk with all the housemates later today to -- I'm guessing here -- present the new, improved Jade: no more drinking, no more gossiping, no more interrupting people and talking over them.

She must REALLY want the 70 grand!

But...is it too little, too late?

It's too late, we know what she's like, no matter what she says, lets hope she gets nominated on monday and that the other housemates are not fooled by this charade.

I think it was good that Jade has been told what the public think about her as as nasty as she is, it is going to be a bit cruel when she gets out on eviction night. I personally think it is a bit too late for her to make amends as her public persona has already been set, & her supposed new attitude will just make things worst for her. The public will see straight through her, & her fellow HM might get suspicious of the "new" Jade. Lets face it how long can she keep up her new self before she starts drinking again & shows her true colours.

It's not likely they told her what the public think of her but merely made her think about how she is being perceived outside the house, especially in the light of incidents such as the BJ and the Adele row.

In the end they are trying to protect her in advance for the day when she comes out and the whole country boos. As much as we dislike her, she has a life to live after BB and some kind of sanity to maintain.

I think it will all be too late (thank god!) If I found out someone was backstabbing me at every opportunity then it woudl take more than that to change my opinion. She does seem to have a knack of gettign through it but still reckon she's gonna be nominated next week.

What kind of sanity would that be then?

Can you explain to me what the difference between
being perceived outside the house
&
what the public think of her
is?

They are one and the same, my point being she wasnt told directly how people feel about her but was merely made to think about it and consider what people might have seen her do. No psychologist in an hour interview would tell someone 'everyone hates you'

Why is it then that Jade can be told how she is percieved outside the house but BB would not divulge such trivial information such as how England were doing in the world cup?? Surely the latter has alot less relevance to the game.

Now she's trying to change to make us like her, she's not as stupid as she has us think!

I never post usually, but must stress my utter disappointment with BB for telling Jade what the public think, or even hinting. They didn't tell nasty nick from BB1 and they shouldn't tell Jade.

She's made her own bed, let her lie in it. A dose of reality would do her the world of good and perhaps stop her bullying, childish ways before she carries on in the same fashion when she's back outside.

The purpose og Big Brother is to be isolated from the outside world. Surely even hinting what the public think is outside world information??

She has blatantly been vile to everyone. At least Adele, even though she's evil, is seemingly playing to a plan. Jade is just being malicious.

Think of the school bully and Jade personifies it.

Don't most bullies need some sort of group to back them up? Do you think Alex and Adele now think that we might recognise that that is what they have been doing?

Yeah it is a bit disappointing that they've told her what the country thinks of her (I wonder if expletives were used by the psychologist). It certainly throws a whole new light on Jade's new leaf and making up with Sophie - it's not heartfelt at all, it's a desperate attempt to get into the public's favour.

I think the other housemates will realise this too.

Of course, which is why Adele has singled out herself and Alex to get closer to Kate and Jonny, to lose the attachemnt to Jade, if that makes sense at all!!!!

The next one that Adele+ Alex will try to use is Kate after Jade told them what Brett had said last night Adele came out of the bedroom went to Jonny + Kate kissed them both and called Kate princess thats what she started calling Jade before it all went pear shaped. Jade just said on E4 to PJ that Brett had told her nothing had been shown about the night they where in bed together and nothing has been in the papers about her (hehehe) so i take it Brett hasn`t seen the nude pictures of Jade (the new leaf bitch) plastered all over the newspapers. Jade should get everything thats coming to her she`s a liar +bully

I think that BB are highly aware of this 'Love to Hate' thing which is going on with Jade and are maybe trying to prolong her aviction. Lets face it, once she's out it will probably be a lot more boring TV wise. She'll never make it all the way but as long as she is in that house there will be conflict..just what the producers want.

They had to tell her, at the end of the day Big Brother will face a lot of criticism (especially from the chattering classes) if Jade's life is made hell when she comes out.

If this was the States they'd probably be facing a seven figure lawsuit from Jade herself!

Amidst the criticism, it is worth bearing in mind that Jade is an extremely immature 21 year old.

She clearly lacks the self awareness and capacity to consider how the world may perceive her - and I would question whether she should ever have been allowed to appear on the programme.

It can of course be argued that all those entering the house know what to expect. But does anyone really believe that Jade would have seriously thought about the consequences of appearing?

The down side to it all is that Jade is apparently a "reformed" Jade now. She's not going to gossip or drink -- and when she mentioned having a glass of wine earlier, both Alex and Adele jumped in and said "NO!"

So I suspect they're going to protect her from herself and make sure she doesn't get drunk anymore. She's already made up with Sophie, and they're so sweet to each other, it's nauseating.

No bitching? No drunken revels? No gossiping?

Gee, guess I'll go back to watching paint dry.
