Orange 3000 Text Sim Question...
Ben1900
30-09-2005
i have a question about the sim i received from Orange today...

Taken from the letter with the sim card:

Quote:
“Enjoy 3000 evening and weekend texts every month that you top-up by a total of £15, no catches”

does that mean that the 3000 texts is a monthly thing?

if it is, should i use this sim?

i also received 4 O2 sims today, all of them have 300 free anytime texts every month, i'd say the 3000 text deal from Orange is the one for me, but... it says it expires on 31st October 05... the O2 one doesn't expire...

just wanted to clarify the Orange 3000 text deal and which sim i should use out of my 5 free ones as i cant decide!

Yes you get 3000 free evening and weekend texts per month, as long as you top up with a minimum of £15 pounds a month. You can also buy a text bundle of 400 texts for £12 that lasts 30 days if you wanted to text during weekdays. Works out at 3p a text. Your 400 text message bundle will not deplete during evenings or weekends until you use your 3000 free texts.

Orange were very helpful towards my queries while on the phone to them last friday, dispite being on hold for 5 mins before being answered by the CS centre. Which i didn't mind, better than being answered almost instantly and being fobbed off with a load of crap... *cough* O2 *cough* Three *cough*

They tell me i've had the texts since some time last week. Wont get confirmation as they come through automatically on the 1st month and you get confirmation by txt every month thereafter.

And they are correct, i am getting them as i speak. So now i can go mad and txt! Only problem is i might wear my thumb out, the phone's keypad or both!!

free evening calls for 5 years and 3000 free evening and weekend texts

You can call anyone else on Orange for free between 7pm and midnight every evening, including weekend evenings. All you need to do is top-up by a total of £10 or more each month and your evening minutes are free.

The Promotion is subject to a fair usage limit of 600 minutes per month, still a good offer

From orange.co.uk

Quote:
“existing Orange pay as you go customers who call customer services or text 'evening' to 1133.”

it says you can have the 3000 free texts and calls combined, if i do the above, will i still keep the 3000 texts?

Should re-name O2 O-poo I have just joined the best mobile network by far!! NOT

Use that 02 SIM Card and you wont have a life, just many calls to 02 Customer Services. Its better than ringing the 60p a min chat up lines I guess lol.
