Am I covered?
I have a phone which has mobile phone insurance, I was currently living in spain and asked my parents to send my nokia 6680 they sent it via Royal Mail airmail but the item has never arrived.
When i purchased the phone from e2save the phone had theft and loss insurance Could i make a claim ? |

It is counted as "loss", but they may say its royal mails fauly. Just say you lost it some other how. And make a claim to royal mail and tell them what happend.

e2save use the same insurance policy as Carphone warehouse called Lifeline here is the extract for claiming a lost phone.
“In the event of loss you should report the handset missing to the establishment in which the handset was lost. If the handset has been lost on some form of public transport, it should be reported to the relevant authority. If lost in a public place, then the handset should be reported as lost property to the police”. So according to this you will have to contact Royal Mail, who only gives Air Mail Compensation up tp £30.00 and thats if the Certificate of Posting was taken. The Mobile Phone Insurance is then able to kick up a fuss about how the phone should have been sent registered mail and that Insurance should have been taken out with Royal Mail. |
