Tim definitely-not-dim

All the expected derogatory remarks that can be thrown at Tim, such as conceited, pompous, a snob, etc. etc., are accurate, but he is also very clever, very focussed and a good judge of character. He knows what aspect of someone's persona to appeal to. With Alex he appealed to his sensitive caring side emphasising the importance of friendship, remember the touching looks through the bars. Tim knows that Alex values true friendship very highly. With jade Tim flirts. He doesn't fancy Jade at all, but he is willing to suggest just enought that he might possibly fancy her so that Jade doesn't lose interest. With PJ he talks in a rational stereotypically-male way about the world recognising that PJ likes to be rational and imagine that he is an intellectual. Equally so he flatters Adele's intelligence. And of course Tim is the first housemate to make full use of Kate. Kate needed some hugs, Tim was there flirting again but in a very different way to his flirting with Jade. It is difficult to believe that Tim is attracted to Kate, he probably prefers women who he thinks are sophisticated and elegant, not uncooth charmless Kate. But that doesn't stop him always making his shoulder available.

Tim is a very astute player in the game. I hope he stays, it is entertaining and informative to see him operate.

I don't always agree with what you say but I think your analysis of Tim is accurate & I'm impressed.

Of course there is a caveat. Tim watched Big Brother before going onto the show. This allowed him to see a lot of each housemate's personality including some of the diary room conversations. However, it doesn't detract from the fact that his judgement of people is remarkable.

I agree in large part with your opinions Ep. I agree Tim boy is playing the game, but that doesn't mean we have to like/admire him for it.

Far from it, forewarned is forearmed, Tim has been placed at a huge advantage by entering the house when he did after watching E4 like a hawk for the first couple of weeks. He is now using that advantage to great effect. With Spencer disappearing last week old Timmy has now stepped up to the plate and believes he has the HM's at his feet. In the case of Kate most definitely.

However I can sense a big downside as far as Tim's popularity is concerned. He can't stop himself from dominating conversation as we have seen to mindnumbing effect far to often, and I think PJ and Jonny have picked up on it to name a few. I thought last night Jonny was going to chin him after Tim praised Maggie Thatcher, what with Jonny having grown up in a mining community.

Personally guys like Tim drive me up the wall, 'I've never made a mistake' I think he spouted last night. He has got his head so far up his own arse it's worrying to see him action.

Then again as you quite rightly point out, at the end of the day it's the HM's that decide whose nominated and Timmy is all guns blazing attempting to avoid the inevitable. Deep down I think he knows if he goes to a public vote the odds could be stacked against him as most of the people voting are from a "different class" as I'm sure our Timmy would so eloquently put it.

Once again your topic is a pile of dog and its getting embarrasing. Even if the others say its good. They are all wrong. Tim is a pr*ck and it really is that simple.

I didn't say that I liked Tim nor did I say that his appraoch was worthy of respect. My comments were meant to be objective and observational. I would probably feel the same way as Johnny if I were to me Tim.

My comments were simply a footnote.
