Mobile phone exchange, help please!

I upgraded my phone last week to a Samsung Z500 and im not impressed with the phone at all- the ringtone volume is far too quiet (im slightly deaf which doesn't help!), the alarm doesn't go off (ive tested it and actually see it jump the time the alarm should go off) and you have to pay for the games to name a few things I don't like about it!

I am on vodafone with the carphone warehouse and am still in the 14 days to get an exchange and I am looking at getting the Samsung D600- do you think this is a better phone? If you have it what is good about it? and will there be any problems with the carphone warehouse?
