I thought they were amazing tonight. I just couldn't believe how different ?Carl looked ( can't remember which is which ! ) They really surprised me as I hadn't thought they were anything special before I saw them tonight.

Journey South were brilliant. They looked and sounded great. Good attitudes and only one that can win it for Simon.

Brilliant boys...brilliant!

The bizarre thing is..me, my mum, my sister and my brother all think they are the best...and we NEVER EVER agree on reality shows..so I am worried we have jinxed it! (MY OH likes Maria best.but likes them too..I forsee fights)

Andy, Maria and Brenda were fab...but boys......

Keep it going...and the new look...

Very sexy!

(Oh and just to warn anyone on this thread..this time of night on a Saturday, I am usually tipsy, so excuse drunkeness, spelling and lewd remarks! )

JS were the pick of the groups again this evening, IMO. They do seem to have the potential to develop into a good group.

Given that the Conway Sister's don't seem to have what it takes to cut the mustard, it appears that the final group standing is going to be a contest of style (4tune) over substance (JS). Personally, I'm rooting for the duo!!

That said, they still fall some way behind the over 25's trio - Brenda, Andy and Maria are currently in a class of their own, but it's early days yet.

The boys did good Boho.

I'm surprised you are drinking though, that's not like you at all.

I loved Chenai, Maria, Brenda and Shayne - all great performances and I would like to see them all stay as long as possible.

My three favourites are Journey South, Andy and Phillip though.

One from each category, though I didn't plan it that way.

As this is a Journey South appreciation thread though, I'll refrain from mentioning my other two favourites in here, as certain people could get stroppy...especially after a few

It was odd tonight...

I love JS, next Andy, then Maria and on performances Brenda tonight.

They all were called out in the top 5 (forget this no particular order nonsense! )

I'd be happy for any to win..but JS have that extra something if they are given the right songs..(and luckily they are not under Louis )

A bit of the Eagles, Inxs, Nickleback, Commodores....any of those bands and they will, as Simon says...sail through.

They have something...and I am hoping it may be...the crucial X factor.

But I don't want to jinx it..so none of you heard me say that..okay?

I do think they will do well, Boho - they have the potential to develop as they go along

What I found interesting today was how bland Shayne came accross performing, I rather liked him before, but he was just dull tonight. With these shows, it is often better to sneak under the radar a bit - which is what I feel the acts who did well tonight managed to do.

they must go for a more rock approach now. the Elton john song they did tonight was terrible they are so much better than that. Carl is a good guitarist they must go for edgier music, if they do they will win.

I don't think they have a say in what they sing.

But I hope Simon gives them good stuff....a rock number would be good, or a ballad from Aerosmith or Nickleback or even Elvis!

I think they are quite versatile though.

I hated the song tonight..but they still pulled it off.

Nah..I won't get stroppy...

I run a free and easy thread! Even after a sherry or two.

As long as no one is 'orrible to the boys.....I'm cool!

These guys don't have the hurdle of learning how to perform as they have been at it for so long - they have the great rapport and a confidence in each other, and great voices too.

Hopefully they also feel able to have some input into the songs they are given - knowing what will suit them. They may not have the 'stories' that some of the others do but hopefully that will be a good thing and they can get votes purely on their ability.

Have seen them perform live a couple of times and they are great and nice guys too!!
