Correct. Jim was jailed in 2000 for 8 years, though he escaped in 2003. he was caught and his parole license was cancelled.

Why exactly? Grant isn't on the run from the police or anything.

He could go down for beating people up when he gets back but in soaps hardly anyone reports things to the police.
