It is reported in todays Daily Star that Cilla will blow up the chippy on Xmas Day when she tries to deep fry her undefrosted turkey and it goes all wrong leaving her covered in chip fat and shop debris.

If it's done as perfect as Wendi Peters comic timing, this could be a cracker of a scene. Geddit - cracker - Xmas. Oh forget it!!!

Any chance of the dear departed turkey taking Cilla with it?

I think charlie stubbs is a legend in some ways as he provides a certain amount of black humour although alot of it is pretty bad. Ah well...

I think this could be very funny, I like Cilla's scenes in the chippy and I'm sure Wendi Peters will do a great job.

And yet she gets off miraculously unscathed?

I bet the fryer just blows up, not the shop. I can't see them spending money on that when it's not a "dramatic" storyline. Should be funny though.

Should be really funny if it is done well. Sounds like the sort of thing Cilla would do.

Seeing as it's a comedy story, Cilla will probably miraculously come away with no injuries whatsoever. Remember 2 years ago when Kirk was putting up Les's Christmas lights display and fell off the roof? Not even a scratch to show for it!

I hope not. Wendi Peters' comic timing is becoming a joy to watch. And Cilla and Yana make a priceless double act.

I am really looking forward to this......

She will not be hurt and she will not be held accountable for the damage caused.

However, will she try to sue for compo....Probably.

The joke about Cilla was unfunny for me months ago.

I can't imagine Cilla doing a serious storyline.

She's a bit of a one trip pony. Why not get rid of Les Battersby - he can't act and his 'comic' turns are appalling. Janice would be a more realistic character to stay on the Street.

I really dont like the Cilla character. She's just like the baddie in a panto. You want to shout "she's behind you" when she comes on screen.

Let that be a warning - don't deep fat fry frozen turkeys lol

You can just picture the owners gabbling away in their lingo at the mess she makes

If there were more Charlie stubbs' in the world, it'd be a better place.
