Best upgrade offers you've had - Any network

Just wondering what the best offers you've all had upgrading your phones.

Myself, I'm with O2 and called them yesterday. Currently got the SE K700i with the online 100 package (£25 a month for 100mins and 500texts)

Now i wanted the D600 and have been calling for the last few weeks but they dont have it yet, so they offered me this;

SE W800i, £9.99
100 Mins & 500 Texts for £15
and Insurance at £2.49 instead of £4.99.

Took it like, but just wondering what everyone else was offered?

I'm still on my BT Genie contract from the good ole days... £10/month line rental with 100 anytime minutes (to O2 and landlines) and unlimited* texts. And free WAP, too.

*actually limited to 1500 - 3000, or so.

When I upgraded my o2 mobile in January, I wanted the SE S700i handset - they offered me it at a "special" price of something like £175...
Vodafone had offered it to me for free, so I told o2 that. They then gave me it for free, and changed my tariff. I now get 400 anytime/any network mins, and 1000 texts for £30 a month.

Upgraded my SPV C500 to the C500 with a few months left on my contract, free of charge. 120 mins, 500 texts, £19 a month. Kickass phone and a good tariff (especially for Orange) too!

I'm on an old 02 Leisure time 600.

Basically 600 free evening and weekend minutes.

I pay £6.00 a month from an old Staff Contract when I worked for them. Everytime a get a new handset they tell me I can no longer have the contract. So I threaten to leave and then suddenly I keep the contract and get a better phone than previously offered.

Total cost for the year is £72
Works quite well for me as I usually sell the phone for around £50-£60. (There usually very scratched and beaten up when I've finished with them!)

Three just offered me the following

1,000 any network any time minutes for 12 months with the first 6 months at £4 per month and £35 per month after that.

I didn't take it though. I have been with them for 2 years, but want a different phone they don't do, so have gone to O2.

Good offer though.

Ask for your PAC code and see if they budge. By showing them u are being serious to leave it might make them try to hold you longer.

I was offered 500 anytime xnet minutes and 200 (maybe 100) texts for 20 pounds per month by O2, declined it as am moving to another network, when I asked for my pac code they offered to keep my line open by putting me on the 25 minute 25 text plan and paying it for me for a year.

I had a free upgrade to a Nokia 8800, which i later sold for £400, clean profit which if worked out would have paid for 7 months of my phone bills (with calls!)!

From what I can see Vodafone are the tightest when it comes to upgrades.

My mate wanted a new phone and ended up having to sign up for 2 years to get his phone free! I still think he was a mug for doing this.

Orange, O2 and Three all seem to offer better upgrade deals, especially now O2 have that upgrade promise on new tarrifs.

There isnt an upgrade promise. However i think the person is referring to people who upgrade on o2 get the same deal as a new customer would (tariff wise) or in some cases better.
