After hearing a demo by Denon and LucasTHX at the Bristol hifi show I was blown away. However, whose got space in their room for another set of speakers?

I'd love a DD 7.1 EX surround system but i'm afraid i couldn't fit another two speakers at the back, not because my room is too small but think how ugly it looks. I think it's best for the cinema at the moment.

What do you mean by DD 7.1 EX?

I thought it was 5.1 EX with a matrix rear centre channel, not anymore actual seperate channels.

I saw a thing on technofile on Sky News the other week. It was explaining about the new DTS 7.1 channel surround sound system. They said that it has an extra central rear speaker. Surely though, this would make it 6.1?

1. Front centre
2. Left
3. Right
4. Surround left
5. Surround right
6. surround centre
.1 Active Sub

Total 6.1. How they got 7.1 I don't know.

Paul.

Although it's fesable to have only one centre rear for the full blown setup, you need another pair of dipolar speakers for rear center duty.
