TMobile and Vodafone have them in stock.

O2 and Orange are awaiting stock.

However, this site claims to have the W800i in stock on the O2 network. http://www.sim64.co.uk/sony-ericsson-w800i.html

It is pure simplicity downloading the tracks onto the phone, you either just drag them on, and phone is showed up as USB storage or use disc2phone, photo quality is good too.

Bit of a bonus, it appears that if you get your K750i or W800i from O2 that they don't sim lock them.

Aparantly this is the same for all O2 phones. Nice.

Much better than T Mobile and Vodafone that seem to sim lock them and also brand the software with their own limitation imposing crap.

I get emailed a stock update every day however this phone seems to have been omitted. I will check with Hardware when at work for a more up date realistic time frame. Problem you have is if SE don't supply in large quantities (i.e over 2,000 phones) then some of the popular phones tend to have large backorders so even though they come in, they go straight back out.

Yes mate that is correct. If the phone is an official o2 phone (bought from o2 direct) then they are not usually latched to the network. The only phones that are latched are o2 specific handsets such as the XDA range.

Hi

I am Vodafone staff and recently upgraded my phone to the w800i. I had a customer query yesterday, so popped in a T-Mobile sim card and works fine. It is not Vodafone branded, this is noticable in the box that it comes in, and is the standard plastic SE version.

Although you are quite correct, all phones branded as "Vodafone Live" are network locked.

Can't speak for Orange, but I think they lock most if not all of their handsets.

My mate went to Meadowhall this morning and picked up a W800i from the Vodafone store there, aparantly they have loads in stock, so anyone wanting a Vodafone W800i if you can get to Meadowhall then it's worth doing so.

The W800i's will be serving back orders. It is quite possible what they are saying could be true, however i suppose it depends how many people are on back order. Unfortunately I cannot seem to find any information regarding the W800's an when they will be in stock.

Ou tof interest how loud is the alarm? I know it has a lot of other fancy gadgets but I do rely on an alarm to wake me up. I heard the alarm on a 750i today and it wouldn't wake a sleeping mouse.
