I love both Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly...they rock and they work so well together, despite the age gap!

Bruce is a good old-fashioned showbiz professional. He can do this sort of thing in his sleep...but unfortunately, these days he sometimes looks like he is.

Last night they were so comfortable together. It was such fun to watch, adding a special new element to the whole show.

I have to disagree with this, Tess is great, fun and a good sport, but Bruce Forsythe is painful to watch and is almost condesending towards Tess, he really lets agood program down, IMO.

100% agree! Bruce Forsyth was embarrassing last night and Tess is far better - he really lets her down!

Now I can ignore the way she says 'cupples' I think she's very good! He on the otherhand needs to go!

I have to say I agree - I can't bear Bruce - he's the reason I give sky+ about 20 mins head start so I can run all his links on - and the dancing - urgh, embarrassed shiver!

His jokes are painful, he cant adlib at all, they have to be totally unscripted, and yet manage to be offensive and pathetic all at the same time!

Couldn't have put it better myself. Much as I LOVE SCD, I really can't stand Bruce and think it would be much better if they got a younger presenter. But apart from that, SCD is the BEST programme on a Saturday night!

Bruce is wonderful!

But without Tess the whole thing would be a shambles!

Bruce Forsyth is a legend. Just because the writers of the show give him really appauling jokes doesn't take anything away from the fact that he himself is excellent with an audience - he really knows how to get them going and in my opinion is perfect for the show. If he could get better writers his performance would be less cringeworthy though.

I cringe watching Bruce. There's not time to hear what the judges have to say but there's loads of time to hear his awful jokes. Bruce, this show is not about you so please less of you and more of the dancing and comments!

I agree. He has the class to make the programme work but he does have awful writers... maybe if he wasn't to make the jokes after every contestant then we wouldn't be waiting for the bad joke.. cause at the moment we are waiting to hear his bad joke.

Really - I thought Bruce was dreadful - I can cope with his jokes being corny and old fashioned but his delivery made them cringe worthy. I thought Tess looked like she was trying to keep a very elderly drunk relative under control at a family occasion.

I don,t like either of the Presenters! Bruce is long past his sell by date and I find Tess Daly's voice is very bad for my teeth

I agree with other posters here. I think Bruce has had his day, I found him and his badly written jokes embarrassing to watch.

I love Bruce! I think he works really well with the kind of classic old school feel a show like this has. I like Tess too, her voice is a little rough but anything's better than that witch Natasha!

Lol! You summed it up perfectly!

And why do they make them dance together at the beginning too, it's just cringing to watch imo!

Bruce is embarrassing sometimes but in a nice way. SOME of his jokes were okay last night.

Tess works well with Bruce. She has a warmth with the contestants too. As Glitter says - a minor point her dancing isn't great though, I cringe when she and Bruce do that little dance at the beginning.

Bruce Forsyth also annoys me because he insists the judges cut their comments because they are running short of time, but insists on telling embarrassing, unfunny jokes which just eat into the show's time!

Note to producers: Cut his lines, not the judges!

I think the reason Bruce has to waffle on is so the dancers have time to run up the stairs to Tess, but that still doesn't excuse how awful his so called jokes are!
