A man will win this year! (She says...jinxing it!)

As a huge SCD lover..I usually vote for the women as the men are okay..but a bit stilted.

This year...the men were great!

I found myself drooling over Darren Gough and James Martin....something I thought I would never say!

(And have since discovered I am not the only one )

And the other guys were good too.

Dennis Taylor and Bill Turnbull...great performances in dance (never thought I'd say those words!)

Only Zoe and Jade were really good tonight of the girls..though of course it is early days.

But going by the men..I think the producers have decided to UP the standard (I do not like Colin Jackson at all but WOW!) and have decided to go for a male winner.

And why not!

I loved tonight....good luck everyone. Sad at who went mind as the ballroom guy had only one go at it.

But bring on the lads...and I don't mean that in a me having crush kind of way....they were excellent! Dennis Taylor was fab!

Yeah the males are definitely have a better general standard this series!!!!!

Lets hope a guy wins as it would encourage more guys to go for it next time! And Bohochick - I agree Goughy and James were hottttttt!! (even have a bit of a thing for Billy boy!

Agree with both your comments but best performance by the guys was definitely Colin Jackson. Thought Bill and Dennis is what SCD is all about they went out and enjoyed it and had fun - as a teacher the best advert for dancing there is

Colin Jackson certainly has the hips of a dancer! I'm looking forward to seeing him shake his booty a bit more in the latin dances, but he may slip up on the ballroom.

I was also pleasantly surprised by Dennis Taylor and James Martin, they were the ones I expected to fall at the first hurdle but they really gave it their all. Good on 'em.

the chap from casualty could be a slow burner, I think he shows some real promise and could well come into his own in ballroom wher a bit of stiffness in the upper body goes down well, he had a good wiggle in his hips and seems the type to throw everything into it.

As for the girls, well Zoe was far and away the best, Jade did well and I think will excell in latin dances but the others seemed a bit too stiff and nervous. Fiona Phillips was just plain awful and should have gone home last night. Patsy palmer was disapponiting too, she should have looked so elegant but somehow looked like a sack of spuds on the dancefloor.

agree the men were great last night - i do think the judges were fairer on them than they have been in the past too

Think Colin Jackson would go down really well in any gay club dancing like that, is he gay does anyone know ?
Think out of the male celebs he could win it.

I think y'all are right.. this year is the chance for a male to win - Zoe is the only one of the girls who looks like she could be in the top 3.
