Does anyone else agree with me that the voting system is totally messed up, instead of encouraging viewers to vote for the best dancer on the evening, or even the most improved dancer you are encouraged to vote for your favourite regardless of how they perform.

By keeping the phone lines open after the results show masses of votes can be accumalated without the couple having taken a single step.

I'm all for voting for your favourite, but the show really is about who performs the best, not the most famous celeb with the biggest fan base for something else.

I've got a feeling that it'll be Bill Turnbull that will win it - and as a contest it's over before it started.

The audience demographic that SCD attracts, just happens to be the same that BBC Breakfast does, and that's where the block vote will come from - and this added twist of keeping the lines open all week means on that show (and I'd also guess for Fiona on GMTV as well) at every opportunity to plug the number they will.

I think it is 50/50 between faves and talent - in the end talent wins out - hence why such good couples reached the final last year and Natasha and Brendan won in series 1!

I hope the talent does win out in the end, but lets face it, in series 1 that lad from Eastenders should never have got to the final over some of the others, he was just dire. The only reason he got there was through his fanbase, same goes for Julian Clarey in last years show, Aled Jones was far better than him, but not as popular.

I just feel they should change the system, open the voting lines after all have danced and close them at a set time and give the results. They may make less money (the real reason they keep them open all week) but the best dancers should prevail.

Why do you think it is a foregone conclusion that Bill will win and therefore the contest is over? Just wondering.

I liked him, but I liked alot of them last night. It takes more than just once dance to make me decide...I have no idea who I like best yet, and neither does anyone I know.

replace the first 'e' with a 'u' and put the two words together, and if you still don't know look it up in a dictionary
