option to send sms GONE!
Milky Joe

Does anyone know whats going on?

I transfered from contract to PAYG over the weekend (orange) - switched my phone on today after 24 hours (well..i tried it a few times just incase as i guessed 24 hours was said as a max time). Anyway, eventually my phone started working again but ive just realised all the options for sending sms's has gone I cant reply to any of them!

Whats going on? I have money in my account but there is just no physical way of sending a txt. Its a motorola v500 if that helps, cheers.

Also forgot to mention it wont let me call answerphone, i have a message waiting on it (so my phone reports anyway) but when i press call it says "no number saved for answerphone".

for the messeges you have to wait a few day, give it till tomorrow and it should work, if not then give them a ring, also you need to save the voicemail number.

as for the messages i'm not sure, but for the answerphone, are you pressing and holding the 1 button, dialling 123 or dialling it from the "Orange Plus" menu?

When my phone told me i had an answerphone message, there is an option to press "call" (the button on the right which is used for menu things) and thats when it didnt work. I just tried holding down "1" and it said "speed dial 1 empty".

ah ha, 123 works

Hopefullly my message options will come back tomorrow I txt a hell of a lot more than phone!

Also does anyone know if the 3000 free evening and weekend text offer is automatic? I ask because on the phone i was told that the default is for free minutes, but you have to ring up after you've registered to switch to the text offer. But on the website it seems to imply that its automatic.

I dont want to put money in my account yet until i can be sure i'll get the free txt offer!
