Does anyone know, i have heard that ex- casualty star sarah manners who played Bex is to appear in Corrie as Steve's new girlfriend. Anyone know anything on this

I read an interview with her and I'm sure she said she auditioned and would love to work on Corrie but that she didn't get the part.

Sarah Manners is amazing! Corrie would be v. lucky to have her!

There was a picture of her in the paper a few weeks after she left Casualty,and the caption said she was gonna be joining Corrie playing Steve's girlfriend, and that she was thrilled to get the part.
At the time, it was when Ronnie was mentioned as appearing in the next few weeks, so I just assumed she came after her, cos they do plan some stories months ahead.

I heard she left Casualty because she wanted to spend more time with her husband - and they live in London. She said that her being based in Bristol to film Casualty was getting her down and placing a strain on their relationship or some suchlike. So if that's the case, it's hard to see her moving to Manchester to film Corrie. Unless of course it's just to appear in a few episodes.
