What the hell was up...
with Saturday night?
Was anyone else disappointed? I was. The only people who impressed me were Zoe and Ian which was strange. I was kinda expecting more people to jump out and be good. Instead I was nauseated beyond belief by most of them. Who else here didnt think that Colin Jackson deserved four 8's. I found myself embarrassed to watch him and most of them come to think of it. I had to keep changing the channel due to the shame lol

Zoe was brilliant and i thought James Martin and Camilla were great to watch. Bill the newsman was also good. Poor old fiona....I cant stand Brendan so i feel sorry for her to have to dance with him.

I thought the judges marked some couples too high for the standard at this point in the competition. If they are worth an 8 now, how do we look for improvement?
I thought it was a travesty that Siobhan was voted out, when the judges were unfairly harsh on her. Also Will Thorp didn't deserve the criticsm for this stage of the competition. Fiona was very poor, but Brendan is just an egomaniac who made things worse and made her look isolated instead of supported! I thought Zoe and Ian were good, and I thought Camilla and James and Darren and Gloria looked comfortable and promising. I also liked Jaye's attitude. I thought Bill's perforamnce showed much more potential than I thought he had One thing is for sure - despite my great dislike for Fiona, she doesn't deserve to be treated like that, and I hope, because of her poor performance, and his arrogance, they go next week! |

I'm not a fan od Brendans either, sooner he goes the better, and I feel so sorry for poor Darren getting Gloria Hunniford after the fabulous Gill last year, what a come down!
And no, I wasn't disappointed at all, in fact I thought the standards were far higher than this time last season, and with more couples one assumes it will be a longer series and give the better dancers more time to learn moves for the final... it shoudl be a good one

I love Strictly Come Dancing, but very plesed that I taped it- as I was able to fast forward Brucie and his corny jokes, I find him embarrassing to watch now. I also thought Zoe and Ian were great. I can't stand Brendan and enjoyed seeing him getting a smack back. I am not a big fan of Gloria Hunniford and thought she looked a little out of place among the young ones.

![]() Loved it, Zoe was great, really well matched with Ian, Dennis Taylor had me in fits of laughter - at one point I was sure he was about to break into a jig but good on him for entering into the spirit of it so well along with Newsman Bill. So funny seeing Brendan's face, add me as another who can't stand him, arrogant twerp. |

On another note the relationship between Karen and "Ballroom" Bill is quite funny. Possibly because out of all the professionals she actually looks the most amateurish so its kinda like the blind leading the more blind lol but I guess its cos shes been out of competition for like 6 years. However that aside they look like they're there to have loads o fun and their choreography is refreshing. I wonder what they'll do next week? I hope its the Rumba and equally hopefully, Gloria is doing the Quickstep cos I will throw my TV out the window before I watch Gloria Huniford do the Rumba with Darren Bennett.....that or I could just turn it of but throwing it out the window I think is more rock lol

![]() I wasn't disappointed at all to be honest. Last year there were two clear couples who were good and then alot behind who were goodish, okay, bad. This year two couples stand out but the ones just behind them have great potential, and the male standard is much better too...I am really looking forward to the rest of the series.

I seem to remember that he tried to blame her for that as well, saying she wasn't fully committed He came across as thinking that she should give up her career to focus on dancing, rather than realising that without her career, he'd be without a partner, and wouldn't be on the telly at all. I don't like him. |

Out of all the professionals she is probably the best qualified, she reached the top when she was dancing and now judges..... not bad for an "amateurish" kinda dancer. |

Sarah showed no respect for him so it is no wonder she got none back. Like on the results show on Saturday - the first thing out of her mouth was an insult! Think brendan got unfairly blamed for that when I think it was her fault as much as his.

....Keeping in my mind I'm talking about her feet not the performance, the performance was brilliant. She even admitted that she hadnt trained, tried on the dresses or the high heels or the makeup in like 6 years and had kinda forgotten what it was like to be on the dancefloor. Im guessing by next performance shes gonna be back to her old self. What with muscle memory
I'm sure she kept it as simple as she could to help Dennis out. |

Nat xxx So what if he did a lift on saturday night. I recall Darren and Jill doing a few lifts but it being totally ignored. The show is worth alone watching for the characters that are Brendan, Anton and even Ian to a lesser extent. And on another note it completely staggers me to think that anyone would think Karen Hardy is "amateurish". Shows some have no clue about the world of dance. |

Brendan is arrogant I will admit that but it is hardly a crime. If I was that good at my profession I'd be arrogant too! Nat xxx |
