I dont think it's public knowledge yet. The actor may only be on set for a couple of months, but film, say 4-6 months of scenes, for them to be sliced in at a later date. There's a lot of speculation.
One thing that is for certain is that it'll be spring next yr at the earliest - at which point Sharon will be gone which is a shame as it would work well with both of them around - especially if Grant brings back his new wife to the Square.. |

I may be wrong with this, but wasn't there a report about Ross accepting a new, six-month deal from the BBC. The deal would start in January and would, in addition to him playing Grant, allow him to direct episodes of Holby or Casualty?

That is true - but I dont think it meant he would be playing Grant on screen for 6 months. I get the impression he will dip in and out - a bit like Sharon. ie - constantly taking holidays.

Yep. Says he's signed an "initial" six-month contract, which is good news.

I suppose dipping in and out sharon like would give the writers chance to keep him interesting and not let the story lines go stale.

People have to realise that Grunt is on leave of absence from the SAS and if there is a crisis he could be called back at ANY time.
