Ok, first thing....

Is it really as good as everyone is making out. I have read the reviews, and I have spoken to a few people, and they all say it is absolutely great. But I haven't actually seen one working yet, although I am going to. But until I do I thought I would ask a few more people.

Second, and this isn't really specific to any projector, but I am moving into a flat, and it is still being built. Given that the AV gear will be on the side of the room where the screen is, and the project on the other side, I want to have the cables installed into the walls/ceiling whilst the flat is built. Now what cables do I need to install?! I will run s-video to it, and with converters I can push composite down that cable too, but with a £5K projector I want to feed it with RGB. Now I can put in the rgb cable, but do I need any other widescreen switching cables or anything like that? I will be looking into it, but if anyone has any help, please shout!!

Thanks,

James

The only widescreen switching cables as such are scart leads. They utilize pin 8 to trigger the auto switching of inputs.

I know all about scart switching and VSS and AFD's, but what I need/want to know is whether there are any pins or terminals or whatever on the Sony projector to trigger widescreen switching, or maybe it uses VSS, or maybe I just have to switch it manually?
