I haven't got a lot of tear jerkers to choose from, but Madge's death had to be one of the saddest moments in Neighbours history for me. When Madge died in Harolds arms, i could see all thos Harold and Lou Carpenter moments when they were both fighting for Madge's affections. And it was sad to see "the winner" Harold, holding Madge in his arms, and he had to let her go after living with her for years after gaining her heart in the end. And at that moment she left him, he must have felt incredible sadness when losing the love of his life. I think Harold is incredibly mature as well, not like his son David who bursts into tears for anything.

I think the death of either Madge of Helen was the saddest moment.
I'd say the death of Madge might just Helens as it was so much more distressing the way she died. But really, the smallest thing in Neighbours has often caused huge emotion in me. |

I thought it was pretty sad when Madge died, and Harold, Tad and Paul were all upset.

Todd dying, he was so young and it was a huge shock back then (when there were no spoilers).

Madge's death, just because she was such a good actress and character.
Dee's death. So sad! And Drew's death, especially since Libby was such a strong actress. |

When what was her name... Doug Willis' daughter... Cody was it.. was shot when a robbery took place outside or something and a bullet was fired straight through the window into her stomach.

Reading this thread has made me realise just how many 'major' moments I have been unfortunate to miss over the years: Cody's death, Drew's death, Daphne's death.
Isn't it so annoying when you 'have' to miss an episode and cannot get it taped?

So many......
- Daphne dying wake up long enough to say "I love you Clarky" - Kerry Mangel dying - Drew Kirk dying (I remember this as I was on my way out to an interview and watched the episode just before I went...... big mistake it was so sad.... especially when Libby sang at the funeral. )I never saw Madge's death, missed that episode. |
