O2 Gold Insurance....Worth the money??
Hi all,
Ok just wonder if its worth the money, i mean if i drop it and the screen cracks will i get a new one or will they send it away for a month to get it fixed? Do i have to pay anything on top of the £4.99 if i claim. Is there any catches? When i asked them they said as long as i report it with 24hrs then everything is ok? And finally, is there a better insurance company out there? |

The gold insurance can be paid montly at £4.99 or yearly at £59.99. There is no extra charges (apart from the £25 excess if you make a claim).
If you bought your phone over 14 days ago you are not allowed to add insurance. Gold cover, will cover you for most circumstances. Lost, Stolen, Accidental damage, Fradulent calls upto £2k. Usually if claim is accepted you get another phone within 24 hours. |

phone insurance is always worth it. Remnember the cost of your phone SIM free is much greater than what you would have paid for it on a network. You can usually get the same service as the networks offer from your bank but the advantage with most network provded insurance is that if you lose/damage your phone you cna get a new one within 24 hours usually. It varies from network to network though, I'm not 100% sure about O2. I know with orange you can just add it any time and it generally gives you a new phone to your door the next day in most cases. Most of the networks are pretty much identical for insurance AFAIK
