I know this is still a new phone, and that's why i am asking. here i have few contracts already and trying to decide between the N90 and the SE W800i (which is available now).

found a video online but not sure if it's genuinly shot by the N90. just to see if anyone have a real hand on experience of the phone can prove that.

video link: http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2005/wedding-p1.php

if that's the real quality of the phone then i can just forget about my old Canon IXUS digital camera, that's rubbish when compared with the phone.

That was shot with an N90. It was part of a set of promotional videos. N90 video is the best I've seen from a phone.

quality of the video i terms of bitrate is supposed to be good, but the quality is not really up to par with the SE k750i as seen here http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n90_vs...-review-46.php.

so i wouldnt go binning that camera just yet

Not sure what you mean as that review clearly states "Video recording: We have shot video clips with the two phones. At the same place and time simultaneously. The winner in this discipline is Nokia N90," and every other review I've seen of the N90 says that same thing. In terms of video and macro mode the N90 wins, in terms of "normal" pics the K750i wins.

what i mean is in terms of normal pic quality it is not that good thats what i thought the OP meant as he was talking/joking about binning his digital camera.

Heres some pics i took with my Sharp 903 which is a 3.2mp camera , I thought youd like to see some though. The N70 does look quite good though.

For still image quality, the N90 falls short of the K750i/W800i by the look of it. For video quality, the N90 looks like it's a mile better.

Still way short of the video quality I can get on my Nikon Coolpix 4100 though .... and there are more recent models than that out now.

Sample video from the Nikon ...

(10.5mb DIVX .... re-encoded at lower resolution and bitrate than the original .MOV file that came off the camera .... otherwise it would have been about 60mb)

I'm quite keen on the N90 too and I've found some more examples of the video quality at a site called 'clipshack.com'. I've pasted some links below - let me know what you think. Just out of interest, how do the N90 & the K750i compare in terms of price ?

Cheers - enil

The N90 looks decent enough, if slightly large, but as a free handset it's a decent deal. It has a Carl Zeis lens which are meant to be good too.

My mates meant to be getting one next month so I guess I'll get a play then.
