For months people have been arguing that EE has

"only been god for this week...it'll be back to rubbish"

"we cannnot judge on one episode"

"no way can it be!"

But can we finally admit that for around 4 months now, it's been at top form

Ok there have been some bad stories sucha s Molfie but every soap has them and i believe that Molfie actually had a great climax

But great stories such as

Sam's downfall
Peggy's return
The mitchell brothers coming on Monday
Ruby and Johnny
Chrissie's lies
Zoe's departure
Climax of Molfie

They've all been good

Can we actually admit it now that EE is returning to top form

We've watched for 4 months now and we've seen enough

This is not a ee vs corrie thread so don't get me wrong but i believe that EE really is at top again

I said it was back around 8 months ago, everyone else disagreed. Who's right? Me. Who's right all the time? Me.

Cocky moment there, cockyness is now gone.

It has been great, but they need to tone Peggy down an awful lot. Shes like a cartoon.

LOL don't make me laugh, EastEnders has been 100% better since that moaning miserable face that was Zoe left - good riddance!!!!

I agree with the original topic, EastEnders has pulled back & got it to normal again. Soon as that Alfie & Mo rubbish was no more, it returned to top spot.

I also enjoy these episodes without Alfie & Kat.

EastEnders currently has a very strong cast of characters, being lead by Peggy Mitchell, and held up by old favourites such as Diot, Pat, Pauline & Martin. Very strong new residents include Jonny Allen & Chrissie Watts - it will be sad to see them go as they have really grown on me.

Dead wood is still rotting around the edges though in the shape of Minty & Gary - why are they there? Get rid of those and bring in a Doctor & wife/kids to replace Legg & totally upgrade the Surgery. Every Dr since Legg has been more invisable than their predessor!!

But yes, EastEnders, Welcome back to the top - if anyone could do it, John Yorke could, and with his new team of Kate Harwood & Tony Jordon it shows quality is now here...forever I hope!!

In answer to the origional post, i quite agree.
There are still a few episodes that could be better, but this is the same for all soaps.

It has pulled itslf back up, but unfortunatly there will be people who don't want to admit this....(certain journalists).

I feel i have every right to make this comment as i have watched it religiously even through the bad times.

The Climax of Molfie? Surely you can rate that, the only good thing about it, was alfie got found out. The rest of the Molfie storyline was a load of rubbish.

Since I have watched EE for a long time, even throughout its bad bits, I can safely say that it has pulled itself together at last.

Yes, it was a long time coming but as far as I can remember Corrie didn't fully pull itself back together from it's 2000-2001 rot until early 2002. So it takes time.

Few people on here and in the press still like to nit-pick at the nibbly details, but to be quite honest, I don't give a damn. I'm finding myself enjoying EE a lot more then a lot of other programmes on TV, with the expection of Lost. Sure EE has some dull episodes, but what soap doesn't? I mean with four episodes of the soap being broadcast every week in a year, there's bound to be at least a dozen or more dull eppies.

No EE is definately going strong, that's not to say it is perfect at the moment, but it has passed the first hurdle.

Last night I was watching a new DVD that I'd bought earlier in the day and for the first time in probably over a year I couldn't be bothered watching Corrie but actually stopped the DVD so that I could watch EastEnders so it must be doing something right.

Dr. Legg doesn't even work at the surgery anymore lol.

The current doctor is Dr. Leeroy or Leroy but the last time we saw him was ages ago when he had a look at baby Freddie during the darker days of Billy and Little Mo earlier on this year.

As for EE getting back on form again I totally agree and it's set to get even better!

***FOR ANYONE WHO CANNOT COMPARE CORRIE AND EE WITHOUT DISSING ONE OR THE OTHER AND DESCENDING INTO PETTY NAME-CALLING WITH OTHER POSTERS, READ AND LEARN***

I, myself, am a Corrie fan, so oibviously I am biased against Corrie.
BUT I agree with you that EE has been great the past few months (with the exception of Molfie) and I cannot wait for Grant and Phil to return.

I'm worried now that Corrie is going to go downhill soon now that the Danny/Leanne stuff is over, while I'm certain that EE will be going uphill with Grant and Phil's arrival.

(See? It's that simple - now there is no more need for this EE vs Corrie crap )

I agree. EE has improved and Corrie is no longer streets ahead.
