....preferably slipping through the wings on the oil slick he leaves in his wake! ![]() He was vile to Sarah Manners last season and the beeb cant edit what doesn't get said. Sarah hates his guts. He's just as ghastly to Fiona, judging by the bits shown on It Takes Two With him it's not about anybody else but Brendan. He really is a vile specimen of a man. He may be a great dancer, but give me Darren and Ian any day. Anton is OK, too. It's a couple of the women professionals I really like. It would be great to see Colin win, so Erin can get the applause she richly deserves.

The professionals showcase is a really good addition to this series
I thought that Karen's choreography was the best routine on Saturday's show and that she and Bill performed it really well (although he did look nervous). I also liked Darren & Lilia's and Zoe & Ian's routines (it's a shame that Zoe's nerves got the better of her). And Will has really improved since last week. Colin was excellent but I thought the routine relied too heavily on his jump for the WOW factor. Although on the show they stress the fact that it's a 'dancing competition' (something which the judges undermine more than the viewers by their inconsistent scoring and lack of impartiality), first and foremost it's a Saturday night entertainment show and if SCD is to last series after series then they need to remember this. Initially I wanted all the professionals from the previous two series to be in this series but I think it will be good for the show to have some fresh blood - that's if the new pro's manage to stay in... |

darren bennett lilia kopylova
Highlight of the night for me was the beautiful rumba Darren and Lilia danced to Westlife! Wonderful dancers! Anyone agree?
Also, in fairness to Gloria, yes her rumba was pretty feeble, but as she said on TV last night, she could have come across as desperate and tacky in view of her being more mature, and it was always going to be difficult to get over that. Really looking forward to seeing if she can get back on track with the jive which may suit her better. Agree wholeheartedly about Brendan and Fiona. Obnoxious man and talentless partner. Hope they go this week. They should if there is any justice. |

I have a horrible feeling that Brendan and Fiona will keep comong back for a few weeks yet. I suspect the great British public have a sadistic streak in them and enjoy seeing Fiona's weekly humiliation and Brendan's petulance.

Fear you could be right! Hope we're wrong tho! It would be nice to think that those who have a bit of ability get as far as possible. Also, as far as I am aware, some of the male dancers (e.g. Darren) have not had a bad word to say about their partners, even if they haven't been very good, and have remained totally positive and encouraging, which I really admire. It must be great to be partnered with Ian or Darren, rather than with Brendan and, to a lesser extent, Anton.

It' strange how Brendan and Anton seem to inspire the most comments out of all the male professionsla, they seem to be either loved or totally disliked with little imbetween, and yet, IMO, they are probably the weakest of the male professional dancers.

Anton and Erin are I think at the moment, one of the top, or possibly THE top ballroom dancers in the world. I have to admit though, Latin doesn't seem to be Anton's strong point compared to the other dancers. |

I think the problem is that both Brendan and Anton are too arrogant and full of themselves, whereas Ian and Darren both come across as genuinely nice people who are concerned that their partners have a good time, rather than being obsessed by themselves.

Poor old Gloria. You have had a go, bless you, for charity, but it is time to go back to your Adjustamatic bed and your lovely supportive husband. You don't need to spend your winter surrounded by "right up their arses" like Brendan Cole. Get back to your slippers and log fire. Happy days!

anton is most definitely NOT top in the world or even the uk its time for a complete set of new blood on this show there are loads of outstanding professionals out there - with as much dancing background (if not more) than those in it now
here is the top six from the british open dance championships in May 1 Timothy Howson - Joanne Bolton England - 2 Mirko Gozzoli - Alessia Betti Italy - 3 William Pino - Alessandra Bucciarelli Italy - 4 Jonathan Wilkins - Katusha Demidova Usa - 5 Christopher Hawkins - Justyna Kozinska England - 6 Jonathan Crossley - Lyn Marriner England |

Matthew Cutler should have been given more of a chance to showcase his talents. I don't know why they put new dancers with less well known celebrities. It's happened two weeks in a row that they have been eliminated

Maybe they will use the new professionals in later programme showcases. They did some last year.

bendymixer, I understand what you are saying. If we hadn't had new professionals this year we wouldn't have had Karen and the freshness she has brought to the show. I guess it is just sad to also imagine the show without ppl like Brendan & Anton.
And if I'm honest.. last series I spent a LOT of time focussed on the dramas between Natasha & Brendan while she was presenting. We all noticed the constant touching from Brendan didn't we? |

After hearing people on here saying what a fab dancer Matthew Cutler was I was really looking forward to seeing him in the Latin dances, but obviously he went after one ballroom dance. I'm glad they had him on doing the Jive in the results show on Saturday. He was just brilliant! Hopefully they will do something like that every week. I love watching the professionals dancing with each other.
