Hi,

I've been told that to sort out some problems I have been having with my joystick I will have to take the cover off my K700i and clean it. I don't know how to though - can anybody help?

By doing this will I invalidate my warranty?

Thanks

Taking the cover off wont invalidate your warranty. I give my Nokia 6230i a good clean once every month or so to get all the dirt and crud out the screen.

You can't remove it without removing the screws which requier a torx screwdriver. I wouldn't recommend t if you're not confident to be honest as it would require a bit of dismantling. I think it actually would invalidate your warranty as a result; It's not like with nokias where the covers are designed to pop on and off to be replaced.

I managed to do it. Its just some clips that you flick out - they just need to be done with a credit card.

Thanks. Useful link. Dropped my K700 on a concrete floor and damaged the top right corner. Was looking for a replacement front cover but didn't want to pay to have it done. Cheers
