mobile internet access
Hi,
I'm looking to get connected to the internet via my mobile onto a laptop as I travel frequently. What's the best way to do this? I'm currently with O2. |

If its just emails and stuff (nothing thats gonna dwnload to much) then use o2 GPRS/3g. If its a lot of data your going to download use a Wifi Hotspot.

Which method? if its mobile you neeed a laptop and a mobile with bluetooth or a bluetooth adapter, or they both need IR. You then to setup windows to dialout using your mobile (different for each handset) and away you go.
For wifi you need a wifi card in your lappy and then a hotspot (most motorway service stations, decent hotels, coffe shops etc etc) and a subscription to that service. |

You only require a data card if you do not want to hook up your mobile phone to the laptop. A data card is really only useful for hardcore data downloaders as you require a seperate line (unless you want to swap your sims around).
