If red hairs so unattractive why do many people dye there hair red. Mousy yes thats an unattrative hair colour. But why did Tim say his natural hair colour was mousy, sorry dont get it?

What an excellent thread title.

LOL.

Yes it is wonderful; as soon as I saw it, I wondered how anyone could feasibly have attained the "facts" about such an issue. It's like the title of an 'in-depth' report on Tonight with Trevor Mc Donald.

I agree - what's al the fuss about? Kate's hair is dyed? Oh but if Tims is dyed from ginger!! Scream - Shock - Horror. This reminds me of those taunts in the playground guys! Just grow up! ”

Don't be ridiculous! Do you think any of us would be here if we were grown ups?

Look, everyone knows what a hot potato the issue of gingerness is, and that's never gonna change. Besides, that's not even the cause of the furore - it's because Tim is so vain, precious, and secretive about his hair, and consequently we are salivating for the revelation of his secret shame. He sealed his own fate when he LIED and said it was mousy brown; we're only obsessed cos he is.

At any rate, even if he won (!) he wouldn't be in there long enough for us to see a total return to his true orange; warm medium brown will be as bad as it gets IMO.

Oh dear, that did make me laugh!! Horrible, aren't I? What exactly is "stupid curly inbred rich-persons hair" anyway?

If I have curly hair, does that make me rich and inbred? (wouldn't mind the rich part, personally).
”

LOL...was just pondering over that one myself!!.......I'm pretty puzzled by all the interest over Tim's hair...I just put it down to the fact that there's very little else about him to find remotely interesting.....personally I don't have a problem with 'ginger hair'..although isn't his more of an auburn colour anyway?......in fact as someone with very dark brown hair, I spent the best part of ten years trying to encourage it to be more red, with the assistance of henna......what I DO find amusing (in a faintly mean way) is the panic he obviously feels about the roots showing through.........Tim should chill out and not be so vain.......

Safe from what? Nuclear war? Terrorism? For Christ's sake this "Oh Tim might be ginger" thing is puerile crap.

Lighten up sweetie! For the record I have nothing against ginger hair - some members of my own family are ginger for goodness sake. Why take everything so seriously? This is a jokey thread about a vain and pompous individual who happens to dye his red hair and shaves his chest - and spends a full seven minutes in front of the mirror preening himself. I don't need that long and I'm a vain woman - I've got make-up to put on as well!!!

I've got boring brown hair myself but my closest friend has red hair and get's nothing but hassle. There seems to be a real ingrained prejudice about red-hair. Would we be laughing and joking about Tim if he had a large nose and was Jewish? Or if he had a speech impediment? No, because that would be considered prejudiced/cruel.

your right on the jewish thing, but people would definatly pick up on a speech impediment.

You can see why Big Brother fans get branded as 'sad' when you read threads like this.

Surely we are laughing at Tim not because he has red hair, but for the lengths he goes to to disguise the fact.

Also he should be grateful, if it wasn’t for his hair colour he probably wouldn’t get a mention other than to ask “who’s that tedious up himself chap in the corner”

My daughter has red hair (strawberry blond to be precise) and thinks it's hillarious watching the ginger watch on E4 bblb. She can't understand why he's so ashamed of his hair colour!

Tim you are not helping the ginger nuts of this world! Stand up and fight for Red!

After seeing the photos of Tim and his counsins on BBLB I have to say how similar they all look to Rod and Tod, Ned Flanders kids from the Simpsons! Gorgeous!
Oh, and if being Ginger isn't such a problem, then why is Tim dying his hair and back-combing it to ensure coverage of his roots?? I dye my hair cos I've got grey hairs! But apparently Ginger people don't go grey at all - there's one bonus!

Listen, one of my kids is ginger and he's the most beautiful child you could meet. He has never had anything but compliments about his hair colour and some people are actually envious. It would break my heart if he dyed it when he was older. I am really dark myself, as is my husband, and we were really surprised and pleased when produced this fair child - he gets his colouring from Nick's grandmother. I have laughed at Tim and the title of this thread because it's so pathetic that he's so ashamed of his hair colour. And why shave his chest? - I like 'em hairy myself - not over the top mind I suspect that whatever Tim looked like we would be laughing and joking. What it boils down to is his personality, not his looks. When you like someone they look better to you and it also works in reverse. Even if Tim was absolutely drop-dead gorgeous (which he might be to some people), because of the way he comes across people would find something to take the mick out of. I think Alex is a very good looking guy but because of his sometimes 'up his own bum' personality I have decided he sounds like Ken Livingstone!!!

If it annoys you that much just stay away from the puerile (aka: funny) topics and stick to the more high-brow (aka: pretentious) topics.
