no connection on o2

my direct debit failed for this month, i never got a txt or phone call warning me i just got cut off.

so i went on the o2 website to make a one off payment, i paid with my credit card on tuesday and it was successful. however, i did not get re-connected. this made me think that i had an additional balance that i also needed to pay so i went on the one off payment and entered my details again. as before it said i was successful but im still not connected.

does this mean ive been billed twice and still not connected, or do you think something else has happened. this is not making any sense to me. ive emailed o2 but i cant call as im not usually in durning their opening hours

If you get disconnected because you've failed to pay the bill, paying it later won't automatically re-connect you.

You really need to speak to O2 - they are open 08:00 - 20:00 M-F (09:00 - 18:00 S+S)

If you really are out all this time, I'm sure you could find a phone box to call them from. If you convince them to reconnect you, they should do so within a couple of hours - you'll need to turn the phone off and on to check.

You probably have an outgoing call bar on the account as well as a Class 9 bar. Class 9 bar is removed automatically (as long as you pay in full) the outgoing requires customer services to remove.

If you have a balance brought forward on the statement you have paid then you will have an outgoing call bar on. If you have 2 balances brought forward you will have been disconnected.

The information is not o2 sensitive. It is not secretive, this information is given to customers when they call up. All networks have their equiv bar. A class 9 bar is only an outgoing call bar. Or as the networks would prefer to call it a restriction.

However if you work for o2 and feel it is not acceptable for this information to be here and require it removing please PM me.
