The Behaviour of the Eastenders Fans at the NTA's
A poster in the TV forum who was at the awards claimed that when Christopher Eccleston won best actor they decided to Boo because Nigel Harman and Shane Ritchie didn't win. Apparently the same thing happened last year David Jason won.
I have to say I find this behaviour utterly disgusting. Im a fan of Both Corrie and Eastenders, but I would have prefered to see Corrie win last night not just because it has been better this year but too shut those wailing muppets in the adudience everytime EE and its actors/actress's where mentioned up. There is absoloutley no excuse for booing at awards ceremonines. Judging by the sound of them they should be at the Smash Hits Pollwinners party instead! |

You're basing all this on a poster who may as well have been lying? You disgust me...

Yes, I heard about this too- I thought it was absolutely disgraceful behaviour
You could hear all the boo's for CE even on the TV. Fans on a Nigel Harman site even admitted to booing when Nigel didn't win ![]() I thought it was a complete disgrace. They were still heckling even when RTD was on stage reading out CE's very impassioned speech, which included a touching comment about a little boy who was a DW fan but sadly died recently. Absolutely appalling behaviour ![]() Laura xx |

Shouldn't this be Nigel Harman fans, not Eastenders fans, or is this more irritating Eastenders v Corrie point scoring?

You didn't need to be there to hear either, as I was watching last night and noticed booing like that. It's just not on.

Yes, the best actor won. But that doesn't excuse the behaviour of certain people in the audience!
Although seeing as Nigel Harman couldn't act his way out of a crisp packet he was hardly likely to win. |

I know this won't make me popular, but they shouldn't let the fans in if they are going to behave like that. That is a moment when even if you disagree with the person winning the award, you should respect the fact that they won it. If they want to act like mad teenagers, they should go to the Smash Hits Awards.

I agree with you. You cannot blame all EE fans because of a few Nigel Harman fans booing. It seems like a few Coronation Street fans are just trying to score points because Eastenders won. |

They did the same last year to David Jason, I remember cringing as I watched.
They really need a minimum age of about 25 placed on the audience - the screaming kids really spoil the whole thing. |

I think Peter Kaye passed a comment about it being obvious that it was half term.
Those screaming kids really ruined an otherwise enjoyable show. I was pleased with most of the winners this year which is unusual for me. |

The booing could be clearly heard on the TV last night, although they had tried to cover it up. However, it appeared to start before the nominees were even read out, could the booing have been directed at David Cameron and David Davies?

David Cameron and David Davies did get booed and I don't think kids would know who they were so that blows that out of the window. Ever thought that they booed Chris because he quit after one series.
