I've seen certain Eastenders fans and Nigel Harman fans actually admitting to booing Christopher though. They did the same last year with David Jason- booing and shouting "fix fix" when Eastenders failed to win in the Most Popular Actor category

I really don't think that the Doctor Who fans would stoop that low- despite CE quitting after one series, everyone seemed to be really pleased that he won the award, and completed the hat trick for the series.

Not until I did a web search. Can you tell me why Teenagers would boo them? I can't see them being botherd myself which makes it look like you are blaming EE fans for something they have not done.

I wasn't blaming EE fans for booing the two Davids. I was blaming them for booing the best actor winner.

I think its horrible that some people could be so stupid to think that was a fix. I was annoyed that EE won most popular soap this year, but I didn't think it was a fix - rather, it was just because lots of EE fans voted for it (there does seem to be more younger EE fans who are more likely to vote than anyother soap fans).
I think its so much better at the moment when quality drama actors like Chris and Martin who were up this year, win over soap actors, because I think they have a much bigger scope at acting

It shows up what I've been saying for ages - there's a minority of people acting like thugs and for some messed up and disillusioned reason actually believe they are part of some kind of Eastenders Gangster set up.

In reality: grow up - you're children and whilst you're at it - try and get a life!

Here Here. The fact is a few shouted Nigel Harman but the Sun says people booed because he did not attend.

So what if he didn't attend. The awards ceremony is a public occasion, (via TV) where actors are celebrated. You shouldn't be booed for not turning up or for the fact that you act like Pinnochio's long lost cousin

What is this? booing took place so the EE fans are to blame. What a load of crap. Everyone said it was the best crowd an NTA event has ever had so it could not have been that upsetting.

But I don't think that acting ability is actually necessary to be nominated for these awards.

As for 'boos' you get booed on the X factor when they like you I'm told

The booing was pretty audible when i watched it last nite, regardless of who it may have been it was really disrespectful and completely uncalled for, i don't think its fair to blame ee fans tho it could easily have been corrie fans or dw fans or just random people who were pissed and idiots, they shouldn't let fans in if they're going to be that silly. (btw im not a big fan of any of these shows so im not defending any of them for any particular reason)

I was at the awards and from where I was sitting the booing for Chris Eccleston was very audible. The anticipation that either Nigel Harman or Shane Richie were dead certs for the award made it a BIG shock when CE's name was called out. The whole Albert Hall could not believe it and obviously the ardent fans of EE were disappointed to say the least.

The booing was masked a lot for tv for that award and the appearance of David C and David D.

I have to say that Nigel Harman is very modest and doesn't particularly like all the attention or these award bashes where he has a camera thrust down his neck, unlike Shane Richie who revels in it all. There was one moment during the ceremony that Nigel did an unexpected cute dance in his seat, his beloved Crystal Palace had just beaten Liverpool in he Cup!
